I dont know if I should discuss this here!! I was just wondering if we should do sea world---I already have a Sea World day planned now Im thinking I already have WDW paid for is Sea world worth the extra $$$ I have 2 DDs 8 & % who I think would love the animals--- PLUS the living seas is closed when we are there!!!

In my 13 trips to WDW I have yet to do Seaworld. I have heard mixed reviews on this. My friend went over March break and said they were bored there.(and they are huge animal lovers.)

I have never done it, but my brother took his kids to WDW and other cousins from his wife side joined them there. We had a Sea World within 2 hours of his house, but they had not been to it yet. Since the other cousins lived in TN, they all decided to go to the one in Florida. His kids were about 5, 8 and 10. He was so upset as when they got home, all they talked about was how much they LOVED sea world.... and hardly mentioned there wdw part of the trip at all. He was like, "i spent all that money and I just could have drove 2 hours to Sea World at home!" I will definitely be taking my girls there in a few years. The one here(OHIO) has since closed :(

I live in Orlando and have been to Sea World many times. I've had a season pass for several years. I really enjoy Sea World. I think your daughters will enjoy it. You can feed dolphins and sea lions. There is a cute show with cats and dogs. The shark and polar bear exhibits are great. There is a neat playground for kids.

My friend took her DS9 and DS7 there and June and they really enjoyed it.

I think it depends on the age of the child. My Brother and sister in law took my nephew when he was 3 and thought there was not much there to do with him. They wish they had done AK instead

Maybe you would have a great time!! its fun cause its just different.

Its VERY easy to take the LYNX bus from the transportation and ticket center to seaworld. the bus goes almost directly there!!! it only costs $1.50 each way...they have a website that you could check the schedule and bus #.

last month i was at a conference in orlando right across from seaworld, and i needed a disney fix so we just hopped on that bus, it took us directly to TTC, we then caught a disney bus to downtown disney and then did the reverse to get back....the bus was really nice, cool and not crowded when we went. all of the people on that bus were disney employees and a few other tourists!!!

no, its not worth it. i went to sea world last week and i would never go back again.

We had originally planned to do Seaworld on our next trip. But, for another day at DW, it's only gonna cost us like 15 dollars extra total...so we'll just relax in Dis World!!! :sunny: I would love to go to Seaworld though...maybe next time.

I did SeaWorld a number of years ago and I have to say I didn't expect much, but ended up enjoying it quite a bit. We'd been to Disney a ton of times and it was during a 14 day trip so it was easy for us to say sure lets take a day out. I definitely dont regret it

Yes! I would definatly go. We love Sea World, the shows and things are great. The Shamu show is great and the Clyde and Seymore show is nothing short of hilarous, we laughed ourselves silly at the Pirate antics. In my opinion it is worth the extra time and money to go.

Do you know what the website is?

We always try and do Sea World. I find that it is a very relaxing park. The crowds walking in a any one area is never overwhelming, unless you just get out of a show. If you've never been, I would recommend it.

We have a dd who will turn 3 on september and she loves Sea World, we have taken her to the one in San Antonio and the one in Orlando. We don´t do the rides, just the shows, and it is a relaxing place for us, since for the shows you have virtually no lines and sit all the time, so it is great for a day in the middle of your vacation when you want to take it easy.

We went on our second trip down to Disney, so us girls were 15, 11, and 8. We were all bored, and have never had any want to go back. But that's just my opinion :)

We have been to Sea World 3 times. We love it each time more we go. It is not Disney, but it is a wonderful park. I would go to it atleast once and see it for yourself.

We had always wanted to go to Sea World, but never seem to make it over there. Mainly because Disney tickets were already paid for. A couple of weeks ago we did a Sea World only trip. We spent 2 days at Sea World and a day at Blizzard Beach. My cousin's daughter--age 9--LOVED Sea World. We thought Sea World was a very nice park and very relaxing. My opinion is that Sea World is very worth the time and money. BUT, I know from experience, it is very hard to leave Disney once you are there!

Absolutely! Sea World is a great way to spend a day. I would not go multiple times a year, but once every year or two is definately worthwhile.

I went to Sea World for the first time a few weeks ago. DH had been a long time ago. It was very hot and crowded but the tickets were a gift so we needed to use them.

The landscaping was beautiful but there were a lot of tall buildings all around that you could see from the park and that was a bit weird:) The animals all look pretty good but I can't help feel sorry for large mammals like Killer Whales and Dolphins in tanks. I guess it wound up depressing me a bit. Now I have done swim with the dolphins in Xcaret in Mexico but I think their environment was much nicer (real ocean water, very natural looking.) The shark exhibit was very cool. The Oddsey show was not too great. Kind of a Cirque rip off. Hey all in all for free Sea World was really nice. If I went back it would be with the Discovery Cove free tickets.

We did SeaWorld in August '03, if I remember correctly. We took the Lynx bus from TTC. Very easy and cheap. We all enjoyed SeaWorld a lot. Only problem was with my dd. She really wanted to sit close up for the shows with the killer whales and the sea lions. It was incredibly hot/humid. Sitting in the sun made us sweat so much that our 'undies' were even soaked. So, sit under the overhang if you do during the hot months!!! There is really a lot of shade in the park. We enjoyed the differences between SW and WDW...much more relaxed and leisurely at SW. We did find that we were ready to leave after about 7 hrs. I would do it again in the future. In fact, now that dd is older, we are planning a 3 day visit to US and SW, then on to 6 days at WDW in the future.
