Is "Room-Ready" Strictly a DVC Thing?

Disney resort staff at the Front desk are not allowed to take bribes, I mean tips. If they accept it and are caught they could lose thier job.

Really?????? My $20 thing wasn't a joke. I always do it discreetly but not one CM has turned it down in maybe 8 trips as a member. I don't look at it as a bribe I look at it like a thank you for the work they do. If it increases my chances of getting a good room then so be it. I certainly don't state that I expect it.

This is the first time I've posted on this thread so she couldn't be talking about me as far as the bride part goes.

Oh and BTW Dave, I'm a young person too and those 12 years also mean a lot to me. Now if an AKL DVC pops up you bet I'll be selling SSR and buying that, the 7 month thing doesn't bother me at all as of yet.

I called BCV and BWV and they said they are Room As Ready.

I called SSR and asked what would happen if when I went to check in, all the rooms had been in USE the night before. They had no idea.........

I guess it's not a situation that has come up.

and it never will. SSR should be renamed OR. Overflow Resort because it appears that is where it is headed. Least desirable option in the system IMO.

I have seen mention of a 5th WDW park. Is there land in the SSR area that would be available for another park? Heck who knows maybe in 10 more years, SSR will be dab smack in the middle of WDW's newest and greatest park. Till then you got Earls, and the place where you can put sprinkles on your ice cream.
