I just booked Les Chefs de France because the TA said Remy was so great. AFTER I booked it I read online how you may not always see him because he has only 4 timed appearances and I found threads here saying he was on "vacation" anyway.
So has anyone seen him very recently? And what's the best guess on his schedule? We have a Ressie for 2:40 on a Saturday

Inside Les Chefs de France.
Monday-Saturday at 12:30, 1:40, 2:50 & 5:20pm

Be advised he makes his rounds starting at the times above. If you are seated late and /or not in your seat and you miss him, you miss him.He does NOT backtrack. He has also been known to have technical issues and not appear at all and with NO prior notice. He does not appear at all on Sundays.

Per http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/

current schedule is:

Monday-Saturday at 12:30, 1:40, 2:50 & 5:20pm

You would have to make sure you are seated for your 2:40 reservation before 2:50. If Remy appears, he will come out exactly at 2:50 and make one circuit of the restaurant. If you're not seated and you miss him he won't come back. I'd try to move that a bit earlier, because I don't know about anyone else but I have always had a bit of a wait to be seated at Chefs and I think 10 minutes to Remy is cutting it too close if you booked just to see him.

I agree. Since you don't know where in the restaurant you'll be seated, I think 2:40 is cutting it too close. If your table is close to the start of his circuit you could easily miss him. One time our table was among the first on his circuit. While he was visiting us, a group was being seated at a nearby table. Unfortunately for them it was in the area that Remy had already visited so he did not return.

Also, Remy is a complex audio animatronic figure so he sometimes he has unexpected technical problems and does not appear. If you have little children, I would not promise that Remy will appear.

1) Be aware that they do not let you get up and visit him.
2) It would create too big of a crowd in a eatery with tables close to each other.

We are being sat at 5:30 one night - I will of course come early and see if I can't be seated earlier but do you know if I would at least be able to see him from a distance if I miss him? That would certainly be enough for me.. I have a hard time thinking of what to say to characters anyway...

We just saw him on Sat. the 30th. We had a 4:40 reservation and saw him at 5:20. We had a table near the kitchen and I thought it was a bad table until I realized we were Remy's first stop.
I kept him as a suprise for DD and she just loved it! It was also her 8th birthday and the waiters came over and sang Happy Birthday in French.
Great time!

get there early for your reservation
we were there in september and sat down at 5pm and he was just starting to make his rounds,

the waiter with him is hilarious! they actually made their rounds twice that night, it was very nice

also, if you can ask for the waiter Lidio.. he was fabulous!!
