Is PS Necessary in Sept?

Hi all,

As we aproach our 90-day mark to our WDW trip (9/2-9/17), I was wondering how necessary PS (or whatever it's called now! ;) ) will be for our trip. I want to leave the dining options as open as possible, so if we feel like eating at the Rose & Crown on a Tuesday night we can, or Boma some Saturday evening we can. I would just rather not plan the dinners, but if people have had experiences with needing PS, maybe I should. I could at least make PS for each restaurant each night and then change them if we feel like going with something else day-of. What to y'all think?

Hi,

I would always recommend making some PS no matter what time of year. You can definitely cancel and change them at the last minute, but I think it's better to have something to fall back on. Criowds are usually light in September but you never know when a large group might be in the same park or hotel on the same day that you are!

Good luck,

Bob

I'm making them for our late August trip. Better to be safe than sorry. We frequently change our minds, but knowing I have someplace good to eat, even if it might not be our first choice on a given night, is better than ending up stuck with an hour wait or fast food.

HI!! WE will be there teh same time! I love going in september! The crowds are awesome!
As far as PS go....
I like to make the ones we simply must do... and if the day comes and we dont feel like it... we can always cancel!

Not sure if you are aware or not, but the nite of joy is Sept 9 & 10 this year... those days may be a bit crowded!
We have scheduled our days around these, as they can be pretty crowded!

I was not aware of the Night of Joy this year! Thanks for the heads up. I don't really know much about it (I guess I should read up on it), but do the events for NoJ concentrate in any one particular park those days? Hopefully we can avoid it by just planning to go to a different park.

Also, where are you staying, Gabbygrennel? Are you going with your family? We will be at WL, just the two of us.

I always make my PSs so I am guaranteed to get in where I want to go. Then, if it's slow or if I change my plans, I can still go somewhere else or eat there on a different day. But, at least I know I'm gonna get there one way or another.

We were there last Sept. (12-19) and I was glad I made PS's. We needed one to get into O'Hana's, LeCellier, Cal. Grill. and the Fantasmic Dinner Package.
