We will be at WDW on Aug. 31 -Sept.8, do we really need to make PS considering this will be a slower time of year? We've made two PS for dinner for the HDDR and The Princess Gala Feast at 1900 Park Faire, but that's it. Any feedback would be much appreciated.
TIA

It all depends on how much you want to plan. Some folks like the spontaneity;others like to plan out their meals. We fall under the latter category. We love to eat while on vacation;therefore, we make PS for all of our dinners, at the very least.

You can always wait til you get there. You can make PS at any time. You just may not get the time you want. You can always walk up. Some restaurants may seat you within minutes;others you may wait for 45 minutes.

Good luck with whatever you decide:D

It really depends on which restaurant, on what day, and at what time. That time of year you should be OK at most spots.
However--if you are interested in a place like California Grill on a Saturday nite around 7:30, you may wind up not getting in at all. Once in awhile the more popular spots do get completely full, such that no walk in's are accepted.

We didn't have any PS' last Sept. and ate when and where we wanted, ditto for Feb. before President's Day. But, we didn't do any character meals on those trips and were in the mood to just wing it, so we really didn't plan on eating at any of the *hot* restaurants. If your heart is set on a certain place go ahead and make a PS, you can always change or cancel if you have to.
BTW- This next trip, we have 8 PS', I wouldn't dream of not having at least one a day in Summer!:sunny:
