We'll be there Sat and it's not looking good for the weather this weekend. Hope the weather people don't know what they're talking about but is the Luau rain or shine? Staying at VGF so won't have far to travel but would be bummed to miss the show. Here's hoping! :yay:

I know that last time we dined at Ohana, there was a torrential downpour and the Luau was cancelled. Some of the People who had Luau reservations were trying to get into Ohana, and Ohana was doing their best to put people on a waiting list if they were willing to wait.

Hopefully, it won't rain on Saturday. :goodvibes

WE went when it was "rainy". Not or entail, but drizzly and raw. The show went on.

Not necessarily. It is cancelled due to weather periodically. There is no refund and no other ADR is made for you. Depending on the time of year it may be difficult to find a place for dinner.

They won't cancel it for just rain. They will if the weather is bad enough to endanger the performers and audience (torrential downpours, high winds, or lightning), or if it is too cold for an outside show. If they cancel for weather you DO get a refund but they won't help you find someplace else to eat.

Thank you for this. I was just about to have a heart attack! I totally understand having it canceled due to bad weather but NO refund would have been a tough one to swallow. This dinner show is not cheap, and having a chance of the show canceling and no refund would have me rethinking our plans.

Sorry for mis stating!!! I was thinking of DDP credits and not being able to use them due to scheduling issues. I posted totally incorrect information - So Sorry

The show is often canceled for cold temperatures (usually the later show) and has been a few times this year already. They will also cancel for heavy rain or storms.

You will get your DDP credits back (if you had already spent them on the luau), but it is then up to you to figure out how to use those 2 credits that you didn't get to use on the luau. Disney won't automatically help you find another restaurant (if you're staying club level you might be able to get the concierge to help you look for an opening, or you can go to a lobby concierge and have them look up an opening for you). If the restaurants are full, they won't create openings.

It is true that you will not be offered a cash refund on the dining credits - it's up to you to use them.
