Is Poly jolly for the Holi's

We booked lagoon view Poly @ AP rate for mid-Dec. My DH is afraid the atmosphere won't be very Christmassy. We tried for GF, but it wasn't avail. @ AP rate. We have requested to be in Samoa due to recommendation by the booking agent for proximity to the main pool. If anyone knows about Poly for the Holi's or has advice on the best LH for non-smoking and near to pool and MR, please respond. Thanks and have a Disney day!

I'll be honest with you llebreknit (and welcome to the DIS btw), the Poly is not the most Christmasy resort. They do indeed have a Christmas tree and tropical themed decorations, but it is by no means as Christmasy as the GF or WL.

It's kind of like being here in the Virgin Islands during Christmas But with that said, there is certainly enough decorations thoughout WDW to put all of us in the Christmas spirit !!! I don't think your DH will be disappointed.

BTW.....I'll be staying at the Poly 12/3-12/8 with my DD and her family. We got a great rate with the Military Salute (DSIL is in the Army).

I love the Polynesian, but it's not particularly festive for the holidays - kind of laid back, like its usual atmosphere. However, the theme parks are all beautifully decorated and Christmas music plays in the parks, too. It's also fun to go on a resort tour to check out all the other decorations.
