We've never been and as we're staying two weeks, I thought it might be nice to visit Pleasure Island one evening. But the thought of a smoke-filled place is quite unsavory. :rolleyes1:

Thanks for reading.

Last time I was in PI I smoked and no one stopped me.. this was also early in the day, and there wasn't many people around, but remember its also outdoors. I don't know what the policies are for the individual clubs.

But I've said it once and I'll say it again.. if you're going to a bar/club, what else do you expect?

The individual clubs are all non-smoking now. You can still smoke in the street though.

What I was expecting was a simple yes or no. I'm not saying that you can't smoke, if that is what you like to do, go on and smoke away. I just prefer not to attend somewhere that is overly smoke-filled, just a personal preference.

Thanks athenna, that's what I was looking for. :wizard:

That is all.

Whoa, no reason to get offensive. My point was more, don't be surprised if there is smoking as it is a club/bar atmosphere.

I personally am happy the clubs are now non smoking. We often skipped PI all together b/c as a non smoker, it can be unbearable to even be around the it. Atleast they made a good compromise for both smokers and non smokers-those who do, can smoke outside, and those who don't can take comfort in staying inside the clubs without feeling like their lungs are about to collapse.:faint:

I agree. I am a smoker (don't all hate me) and it is a good compromise. I had no problem in Nov, just running outside. It's not like home where you can't run out and run back in.

You may smoke outside, not in the lines for the clubs (IE: Comedy Club, although some do). There is no smoking in any of the clubs, and it is enforced. The only club on Disney property that allows smoking is Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk.

Not to start a whole other issue but out of curiousity, why should a non smoker "expect" to have to inhale smoke from those who are smoking just because they are in a bar or a club? I am glad they are enforcing this new policy and I think it is a fair compromise for both smokers and non smokers. :)
