Is Pinocchios Daring Journey coming to Magic Kingdom?

With BOG operating as TS from 4pm, there are only 3 Major Quick Service locations in MK from that time, Pinocchio's, Peco's and Cosmic Rays. Obviously there are others but not with the ability to serve and seat the masses.

Unless I'm much mistaken, Columbia Harbor House is at least as big, if not bigger (remember there is an upstairs dining area also) than PVH.

Indeed, there is Columbia Harbour House and Tomorrowland Terrace but my feeling is they are still short of quick service options, particularly with plentiful seating.

I just can't fathom why for one minute they would close a popular fantasyland dining option in such a key location and replace it with a ride, particularly one that people would be indifferent about riding.

It would just make no sense.

They aren't this was just some dumb Wikipedia post Wikipedia is not the most reliable

I just asked if something I saw was true, didn't mean to start a debate.

Just a couple of points. I have wondered about. Why does the Magic Kingdom have the fewest animated feature dark rides of all the Magic Kingdom/Disneyland parks when it is supposed to the the premier Disney resort of the world? All of them except Hong Kong have more.

As to this particular issue. I agree they aren't adding this ride. However was Peter Pan a big money maker? I realize it is a cult classic ride and is a staple at all the Disneyland parks. Perhaps it's ticket was punched because it was one of the newest animated features when the Original Disneyland opened. But I don't think the ride is popular because the movie made a ton of money.

That's okay, we all love a good debate on the DIS.

I think it's safe to say it is not true though, but often something that starts off as a rumour gathers pace and as more details come to light there is often some truth in what was originally a rumour.

The new restaurant rumoured to be going in to Adventureland is a good example of this.

The DIS is a great place for hearing about things possibly before anywhere else, but with that you often have to accept that not everything is always accurate. I'd rather have the chance to know about a rumour as opposed to not know, even if it turns out to be false.

But I don't think I have ever seen a Disney Parks rumor start as a random edit of Wikipedia. Normally it surfaces from one of the more reliable Disney sources first.

I agree, Wikipedia is generally more retrospective.

Who knows though, a theme park here in the UK pulled a publicity stunt a few years ago spray painting a symbol (which was linked to their new ride) onto sheep across the country!

Often rumours start in the most unusual places, and although they are often untrue there sometimes is a shred of truth in some part of it.

I think the Dis is a great place to compare rumours and try and make sense of them.

Safe to say on this occasion it is a false rumour.

Besides, Pinocchio takes place in Italy!

Brilliant Idea!!! Let's put the ride in the Italy pavilion--- I had so HOPED that Via Napoli was going to be an attraction, not just another place to eat. I would be totally and completely happy with a Pinocchio attraction there, or any attraction that is NOT a Circle-vision movie or another lame boat ride, but I'm sure I am in the minority. :duck:

No

Wow, guess I hit a nerve with my previous post. :o I'm sorry.... didn't mean to, I just like the whole idea of having more attractions and ties to classic Disney in all of the parks.princess::earsgirl::earsboy::earboy2::stitch::simba:pluto::smickey::figment::eeyore::ccat::tinker::maleficen::MickeyMo::MinnieMo:tink::tigger::sulley:pooh::mickeyjum:goofy::dumbo::donald::stitch2:

I love classic disney, but world showcase is not the place for character rides. It's bad enough were getting the frozen ride and meet and greet. I'd love a Pinocchio ride just not there.

Eh. Won't happen, but hey, why not? Character overlays and meets have been cropping up for years, and the Frozen insertion is just another step off the ledge. Anyway, I like the Pinocchio ride . . . though it might be just because it was new-to-me when I rode it.

Hmmmm, if PDJ (or Disney does an Italian-ish princess movie and makes a ride out of it) displaced ViaNapoli, would the outcry be louder than it was for Maelstrom?

personally i like the original attractions over the newer stuff. the things walt himself created, just because they aren new to us dosent mean they won't be to first timers, a lot of ppl forget they aren't the only guests that come lol, but thats me I'm young but love th old stuff i think the pinocchio ride would be better served than the restaurant currently in place

Snow white is tied for favorite disney movie!

The big difference is that Burbank controls the purse strings for Orlando and doesn't for the overseas ventures. Tokyo and Shanghai are pouring tons of money into their respective parks while things move at a snail's pace in Orlando. And at this point, at least in my opinion, Tokyo DisneySea is the premier park. No telling what the landscape will look like when Shanghai opens. Orlando earned the top spot due to its size and early creative thinking. Unfortunately that baton has been passed.
