I am just trying to plan what I am packing and I am not sure if I want to pack their pins/necklaces. With a limit on the suitcases and I don't pack light to begin with.:rotfl:

LET THEM WEAR THEM
THEN PUT THEM IN A CARRY ON BEFORE BOARDING:surfweb:

We just got back from a 10 day trip and DD8 really enjoyed the pin trading. She really only traded with cast members - a few other guests, but primarily cast members. She had so much fun that 2 days before we left, DH bought DD3 and himself a lanyard and pins so they could get in on the fun. Some cast members gave her pins, too. She ended up with a really great collection and had a blast doing it!

My DD was 6 and she loved it. We also only traded with cast members and it was so addictive. She started off not wanting to trade anything she had and then in the end had a completely new set!!! She traded everything at least once!
Great fun for kids.

Our whole family got addicted to pin trading last year. Even husband was into it on the last two days of our trip.:scared1: Our youngest was 4. This was to young. She didn't quite understand the whole concept.:confused3 But of course she had to do it cause her sisters were doing it:rolleyes2 My other kids were 7 and 9. This seemed a really good age. They both got the concept and loved it. It's all my oldest can talk about. She can't wait to go back and trade.:thumbsup2

yes, pin trading is still a big thing... at least with my kids. They each brought their own and traded them all away with CM's and when they were done with that they traded the ones the just got. They must of traded each of their pins at least four times. If I am remembering right, my boys started pin trading when they were 3 and 5, but the at 3yo had a hard time so I would recommend 4-5 yo.

My 3 year old did it because big sister was doing it, but like others have said, she really didn't understand the concept. She wanted to "trade" but often didn't want to give anything up. So basically, she just wanted other peoples pins...LOL! But she did finally decide that she wanted hidden mickey pins and got quite a set. Thank goodness she got in on the action at the end of the trip or it could have gotten ugly! :rotfl:

Yes, it's still a BIG thing. My DH got in to it this year. We didn't really trade any pins but we were given one pin (near where they were from - they were from Canada) from the people who were at a table next to us one morning. I thought that was so nice of them.
