Is photopass worth it for two people?

Only worth it if you make it worth it. I like to take the opportunity to get my picture taken a lot, so I use the PhotoPass a bunch. If you want the two of you in the shots, you'll obviously want to use PhotoPass Photographers. :goodvibes That being said - huge group does totally make it worth it. Going with just me, Dsis, DNc, and DNp - not so much worth it afterall. Is the pre-order special that huge of a difference in price? I'd say if it's not, wait until you get home to decide. :wizard:

Yeah. I was thinking of pre-ordering the PhotoPass, but I am sure that Disney will offer the same price later if the alternative is not to get the sale at all. I have read both positive and negative things about Photopass. Some of the positive things no doubt came from Disney's marketing machine, but some of the negative things could very well have been typed by Disney's competitors because to them taking a shot at Disney is just business.

I have preordered photo pass the past 5 years that we've gone. This is the first year that I don't know of any of my friends or family going down near my dates to share the cost, but I do think that I will order it again.

I'm already planning on making the Photopass cd worth it this year. I've told my DH that I'm getting my picture taken as much as possible. Of course he will too, but when it comes to characters that's much more my thing.

Maybe I should look into pre-ordering it, so if a patch of lazy creeps up I can remind myself that I already paid for the cd, so I need to get my butt in line.

I've done the photopass twice so far for just the two of us, and both times I felt it was completely worth it. I LOVE having photo memories from our trips and I love having pictures together. I also love playing with the effects after the fact.

Yes, not all the photographers are great, but many of them do a good job, and they definitely have some spots set up for extraordinary pictures you couldn't get any other way without lugging around a big SLR camera...which many of us don't want to do. I think a certain amount of what I'm paying is for convenience...I don't have to bother with the big camera, I don't mess with the tripod. We bring a small point and shoot camera (and I usually ask the photopass photographer to also take a shot with our camera), and end up with some really lovely, special shots together.

I know I drive my boyfriend crazywith the picture thing...there was one night at the Osborne Lights where there must have been at least 10 photopass spots, and I made him go to every single one...I think he was ready to kill me by the end. But he was quite indulgent with my madness, and some of those pictures are my favorites from the whole trip. The first trip we ended up with about 30 -40 pictures, close to 100 once I played with special borders and effects after we got home. I loved being able to add in the pictures we took and making a photo album. The second trip, I wanted to make sure we really took advantage of photo pass, so I paid closer attention to where he photographers were, and made sure we hit most spots (some a couple of different times of the day!! Yes, I'm a littlecrazy). That trip I came home with around 60 or 70 pictures and ended up with 285 after I played with the special stuff.

So anyway, yes, I think it's worth it just for two people...as long as pictures together are very important to you, and you are willing to pose for enough of them that if one or two are terrible there will still be lots of good ones left.

It is a lot of money though, and you definitely can ask people (other guests or cast members) to take your picture in many of the same (or very close) spots...Personally, I'm not always comfortable with that, although I love to do it for other people. But if you're not shy, that is definitely a way to save the money.

We're going again in December and I'm absolutely planning to do it again. LOVE it.

Sadly, I decided not to pre-order photopass. My trip turned into a partially solo trip and my budget is tight already. I can't justify the money to get it. I will probably still get the pictures taken and maybe order a couple single prints if there is any money left over. Do the photopass photographers take pictures with your own camera if you ask?

My husband and I use Photopass all the time...we generally get between 20-30 pictures, the last time, after adding all the borders and cropping and what not, ended up with over 300 pictures.....scrapbookers dream

My DW and I do this as well. While I have a very good DSLR camera that I take everytime we go; sometimes it hard to find someone to take your photo. When we do the PhotoPass we not only get a photo together with their camera but they take one with mine as well. :thumbsup2

When we get the PhotoPass I try to stop almost everyone their photographers for a photo. In the end we also end up with 100's of files by adding extras.

Yes you can make it worth it!

Do the photopass photographers take pictures with your own camera if you ask?

Yes they do as well any CM you see. :thumbsup2 A cute photo is to find a couple of CM's and have your photo taken with the CM's.
