Is Paassorter necessary?

There is so much information about DCL here do you think purchasing a Passporter book is necessary and even more helpful?

Do they have a new book out? the last I heard it was 3 years old. many things have gone on in the parks by now.

I have one and only used it once - it is way to heavy to pack around all day! It's not really necessary. I just do a paper print out day by day of what we want to do, PS times, and bring that.
