Is online gaming a bust? Warcraft losing customers

I heard that any online gamers are leaving in droves. Is this true?:sad2:
 
Mostly just is WoW losing players because it's stale & there's alot more options for online play now compared to 2004/2005. I lot of people I know that used to play WoW now play League of Legends, which is free to play.
