Is one savanna better than the others at AKV?

I will be making reservations next week and wondered which savanna to request. I do understand that this is only a request, but I would like some info from people who have been there. With Kidani going up, I would guess that the savanna where it will be located would not be the best one at this time.

Doesn't anyone have advice? I have read that since the villas are on the upper floors, seeing the animals might be a problem. This is an adults only trip and we won't be spending a lot of time in the parks so I want to be able to sit on the balcony and see animals, not the tops of the trees.

We were just there in a studio Savannah view room. We were on the Zebra Trail, 5th floor. At first I was worried about the location and it was far away at the end of the hallway. We arrived late at night and saw no animals so I was worried. I woke up the next morning, opened the curtains to the most beautiful view I ever saw! 3 Giraffe, zebras, birds, and all kids of other animals! I was shocked. I spent most of the morning just watching them in awe! It was a great view, and location. I liked being higher up and didn't think it ruined the view at all! I thought it made it better. I will post pictures of our view as soon as I get them loaded into my computer.

We have several trips at AKL/AKV and have enjoyed watching animals from all of the savannahs. Each has its own animals so you will want to visit them all to see the entire collection.

Thank you for the replies! A poster on another thread said they had a problem on the upper floor because all they saw were the tops of trees. I thought maybe one side of the building or a specific savanna might be better. The view will be very important this time since we will be relaxing more this trip than normal.

We spent the whole time there, Fri-Sun just relaxing doing all the activities and enjoying the animals and resort. It was great and we can't wait to go back. Next time we will go for a 1 bedroom because the 4 of us just need more space. The bathroom in the studio was so small the door just missed hitting the toilet when you closed it!
