Is one day enough time for both parks?

My husband and I are going to Disney on our honeymoon in October. I'm a Harry Potter fanatic and have also never been to IOA so we're going to US/IOA for one day. Do you think that is enough time for 2 adults to do most everything in both parks? We're willing to buy an express pass if necessary, but we're not sure if we need it.

No...you will only be able to do the highlights...not everything in both parks. You won't need to purchase Express Plus passes in October and they will not work for Forbidden Journey. Since you only have the one day and you want to do WWoHP, I would just stick with IOA and save the Studios for another trip.

Thanks for your help. I would love to do both parks but I don't want to be rushing around and not be able to enjoy it. I'll suggest to my husband that we just do IOA for this trip. He's not a Harry Potter fan but I hope to turn him into one!

That's probably wise...you shouldn't rush around trying to see everything in such a short time.

Early is the key. Get to the park WAY before park opening, beeline right for Potter. Do Olivanders first, the line only gets longer. Then Forbidden Journey and the rest of the coasters. Then you can either hoof it back to Marvel (front of the park) or just work from Jurassic Park back around. Marvel get's the 2nd busiest in the park.

I found that if you stay out of the shops (except in Hogsmeade. You have to look around there), you have a lot of time. Mind you I did go in January and all I had to worry about is staying away from all the tour groups! Also, if you just go to the single rider lines, especially at FJ, you only wait a fraction of the time you would in the regular line.

I think you should get a park to park ticket too.
