Is once enough for Indiana Jones?

The only time I go to this show is when I am traveling with someone who hasn't seen it before and who shows interest. The show isn't BAD, it's just not that great. I tend to be a commando and get a little irritated at the amount of park time that is "wasted." Wasn't this show supposed to be a really big deal when it came out? Perhaps this attractions day in the sun is ending?

It didn't impress me at all. It was good to sit and rest, but it was really making me go to sleep. Theres to much talking in between there, and not that much action. I realy could of gone without it. My kids were like it's ok, no biggy. I have a 10 and 5 year old. Both girls. Maybe boys might like it more. Who knows... But for me sleepyville...

We loved it!!!! My eight year old son was totally into it, and he is not your typical 8 year old boy....
It was a little more analytical than I thought it might be. We went in the middle of hellish heat, and felt cooled down by the experience. I am not sure what peoples problem is. One time is probably enough...but I felt that way about most things at wdw.

We did this in 2004, and for us it was very memorable as my DH was picked to be one of the "extras" in the show. So for the entire show I was watching my DH, so I missed alot of what was going on.

Not sure about this year.

Once is enough, especially if you didn't really like it the first time. It hasn't changed.

Personally I love all of the Indiana Jones Movies, and therefore love the show .... although I might not see it every time we go (only if there is no wait) However, my son really liked it, especially when the big boulder rolls out!! I think your boys would like it... if your boys like action, don't miss the stunt car show, HOWEVER...... getting on line early ... BIG MISTAKE... they corral you into a holding pen and you stay there very close to everyone else in the crowd, and for your kids or short people... this is not a fun experience, but the show is good.

My advice is to get on stage!! I had seen Indy twice before our last trip, but our friends hadn't seen it. The trip was goin VERY poorly (my MIL (51) died our second day there and we stayed & I was psycho due to taking the wrong medicine). I decided I was going to get on that stage and be a complete fool. So when they started asking for volunteers, they asked for screamers and I stood up and screamed louder than I knew I could. I was pretty close to the front and the casting chick looked at me immediately and picked me.

It was so AWESOME. Being right in the action. it's one of the coolest things to get picked for. Definitely the highlight of the trip.

So that's my advice, go, SCREAM, and let your kids see you on stage! :Pinkbounc

Our very first trip to WDW was with my kids marching bands. The day the whole band and the chaperones and the parents (roughly 200 people) were at MGM, we went to Indiana Jones, and when they asked for volunteers, I jumped right up in the air. Wearing a brightly colored shirt, I was called on (I think it was easier for them to distinguish me from the dozens of WHITE t-shirts people were wearing - "The lady in bright orange!"), and it was a blast.

I had fun, but it might have been because I was IN the show. And I'm planning on being IN the show again, every time I go. I'm a big ham.

From what I remember (I went about 15 years ago as well) I went in May, it was the exact same show, but it was still fun to watch as DBF had never been

I have always enjoyed "Indiana Jones". The only thing that gets me into repetative mode is the prequel with the amatuer audience members. (It's because I can always pick out, from past knowledge, who the real actor is.

I thoroughly enjoy watching the stunts. I sometimes forget I'm at Disney I get so involved in the stunts.

Thanks everyone! I'm thinking the younger kids will enjoy it, especially since they don't do ToT or RnRC. Maybe I'll take the young kids & the baby while the rest of the family is doing Tot & RnRC. I also started watching the Indiana Jones movies with the kids (I've seen them all before, but the kids haven't). They are now released on DVD.

I wish they would bring the Indiana Jones rides from DL to WDW. For those who haven't seen that, it's the BEST Disney ride ever!!!

Amen, sister - when we were at DL last year, we rode it again and again, with FP and early entry - it was awesome!
