Is Ohanas hopeless for me?!

This is the 3rd trip in a row I have tried daily and desperately to get a dinner resv. at Ohanas! I just cannot get one! With EVERY other restaurant I can always get one if I try daily. Is it hopeless for me??

I have been checking SEVERAL times a day for an ADR for a decent hour (7:30 pm or earlier) and was shocked when a cancelation for 5:05 pm popped up!

It does happen!!

Cancelations happen all the time, so you should keep trying. If you are going around Christmas, you should continue to try daily. Many people book ADRs around Christmas "hoping" that they will be able to go to WDW, but once they find out that they can't get the air fare they were looking for, or that work is just too busy, they cancel. In other words, there are probably a fair number of holiday ADRs that are just "hedges" and will have to be cancelled as the dates get closer.

Anything is possible. On one of our trips we wanted to do cm so bad that I called everyday for months. Finally when we were at the airport leaving for Orlando I called and got one. I was do excited! Things happen and peoples plans change. Good luck

Keep trying... i just snagged a reservation for our big party at the end of August fora decent time... 6:05pm. Keep trying including once you get to your resort.

I felt the same way a few weeks ago before our trip. I looked for weeks and found availability at 9, then 7:30 but thought both were too late. A week or so before the trip, a 5:10 popped up and I snagged that sucker. We had never been and I wasn't sure we should even go with all the mixed reviews but we absolutely LOVED it. We are planning to go back again in December.

We have been trying to get a reservation for any day between 9/23 and 9/30 for just two people and no luck yet! Last time we went in 2008, we just walked up and they put us on a list and we waited about an hour (in the lounge) so I figured if we don't get a reservation we can always do that. We are staying at the Poly anyway.

I would keep trying and if you can't get a reservation and really want to eat there, you could try getting there a little early and doing a walk up, surely you wouldn't have to wait more than an hour. GOOD LUCK!!

Keep trying up until you leave. Try also just walking up and see if they have seating available.

We were just there, there was a mix up with our reservations but we were able to get seated without reservations on a Friday night - party of 4. I had never been able to eat at Ohanas and I LOVED it. I am glad I didn't eat most of the day because I must say it was a TON of delicious food!!!

Keep trying, I have gotten O'hana as late as the day before. I actually just called and got a table for a late dinner reservation on our last night for our trip in September earlier today. This is probably the 3rd or 4th try over the past month to get it.
