I am trying to get a dinner reservation for Ohana and I am not having any luck. Is it worth it? (I tried calling direct still no luck) Me & Dh are stalking the ohana page to see if we get lucky.

Not sure if it's worth it or not, but this is the one restaurant that I have never been able to get an ADR for, via stalking. California Grill is easier.

We think it is worth it. It is our favorite restaurant to have dinner while on vacation.

I make my ADRs for our November trip next Sunday and this is one that we definitely would like to get. We have never had dinner there, just breakfast. I am hoping/crossing my fingers we will be able to get a reservation.

Looking back at old threads on this, I think you'd find VERY varied opinions. Sounds like A LOT of variation in experience, quality, etc. to me.

For us, this was one of our worst dinner dining experiences in... what... 1-3 trips annually over the last 12 years or so.

Others swear by it and rate it among their favorites. Lots of variation.

Now, we've done breakfast there a couple of times and liked it, and are doing that again in Nov.

We've never done dinner before but breakfast is always a must do for us. I have heard dinner is a lot of fun but its a hit or miss with the food. I think this is probably a must do at least once type of restaurant

Worth it? That depends on what you are looking for. For years 'Ohana was on our rotation in Disney, always a must do. I liked it, didn't love it. I never walked away with buyers remorse, so it was fine. Last August was the worst dinner we have ever had in Disney. Ever. With that said, I woudl never suggest you avoid it, the as me week we had a bad night others had geat experiences.

I think if you want to try it, and you do not mind stalking teh website, go for it and see for yourself.

Worth it is totally subjective, everyone will have a different answer. 'Ohana is one of the restaurants that people either love or they hate. It's become one of the insanely difficult ADRs to get, even more so than places like CRT, which is why they started serving dinner at 3:00 or 3:30 pm recently. It's very very popular, but service can be spotty and food is hit or miss. It is not the priciest meal on property but it's not on the cheaper end of the spectrum, either. I personally enjoy the food and the atmosphere, so for me it is worth it. But I do not eat much of anything for the rest of the day so I'm starving when I go, so I eat a LOT. I definitely eat my fair share and then some, and the dessert they serve is probably my favorite on property. The price point isn't an issue for me when I'm getting 6 refills of meat on my plate. We've eaten there enough that I won't go out of my way to go there, but we do eat there every time we stay at the Poly.

Let me just tell you that it's so worth it to us, that we booked a last minute trip a couple years ago, and when I told DH that there was no OHANA ADRs, he said cancel and rebook the trip for later.:rotfl: I did too!!

Did you try touring plans dining finder? They found me a BOG and a ton of people on my Facebook group have had great luck with them. They stalk for you.

The dinner portion of 'Ohana, to my DH and I both, was mediocre. The bananas foster bread pudding was the star of the show!

For some, O'Hana is a Disney tradition and they love it. For others, they've had some less than stellar experiences and won't be returning. It really could go either way, but take everything with a grain of salt. It doesn't hurt to try it and determine for yourself if it's worth it.

For us it's a must do every trip. We usually do dinner as couples only and do breakfast with our whole family. This last trip my brother decided to join us last minute and I was sad that we couldn't get an ADR for 5 (rather than the 4 we had booked). We tried right up until the day before and lo and behold there was availability. Our dinner experience was better than our breakfast this trip. But we will still likely do both again next trip:)

"Worth it?" It depends on your personal tastes and preferences.

We went once. It was a fine dinner. But not one we've ever been tempted to repeat.

We went to Ohana two years ago for dinner, and it's probably the Disney meal we reminisce about most! It's a must for us when we return next year.

We enjoyed the dinner the breakfast was just standard fare but at breakfast we enjoyed the characters that is why we did the breafast

If you like grilled meats and Asian food, you will most likely like it. I went once years ago, and it was good, but not my favorite. However, my husband and daughter love this type of stuff, so we are going this trip.
