Is October humid?

I notice that the next couple weeks forecast for Orlando is mid-80s. Is this normally mid-80s with awful humidity so it feels like mid-90s, or is a comfortable true mid 80s ?

When we went last October, it was barely humid, and it only rained 1 out of the 6 days we were there. It was very comfortable. This time of year is a good time to go (although I prefer it a little warmer & muggier myself). You probably won't get any of those "high of 85˚, feels like 95˚" days! Have fun.

This will be our third October trip (we leave the day after tomorrow). Rain is usually not bad (at least not any worse than any other time in Florida). Temperature can widely vary day to day - 85 one day, 60 the next, 85 the next. Bring at least one sweatshirt/jacket per person, but also at least one pair of shorts per person.

I was there in the beginning of Oct 1998 and found it humid. I have been the first part of Nov twice and have found those visits less humid. Maybe the humidity dies down at the end of the month!

For the most part, it's humid. There might be a brief cool front that moves through and provides some relief for a short time, but expect it to be pretty warm & humid still.

Well, we just got back 2 days ago. Let me say that I'm a California girl, and anything about 35% humidity doesn't make me very happy. Every day we were there (9/27-10/4) was averaging 75% humidity. It was mid 80's, which was fine, but it was the humidity that killed us!

We are going the last weekend in Oct. and its supposed to be around 82 degrees.

I've never been in Oct, but I'm planning on taking:

For bottoms:
a pair of jeans, a pair of knit pants/sweats, a pair of shorts and a casual skirt

and for tops:
a zip up sweatshirt, t-shirts and tank tops

We usually go in May and its hot and humid except at night I get a little chilly and like to wear jeans or maybe a sweatshirt b/c I get cold in the air conditioning.

We've been twice in Oct. but once was the beginning and the other the middle of the month. Both times were hot and humid to me. High 80's, low 90's. We didn't need any pants or sweatshirts. Didn't even bring any. Maybe the end of the month is better.

I'm kind of hoping it is because next year we want to come down that last week along with the first week of Nov. I don't like it when it hits 90, but that's just me.
