Is November too cold for the resort pools?

We don't think so. We go over Thanksgiving and have always used the pools. In fact many nights my kids are in there right up till midnight when they close for the night. Sure it's cold when you get out but when you are in the pool it's fine.

I don't think so. We've been in them during all our trips, November included.

Always go the 1st or 2nd weekend in Nov and we have always done the Poly pool and the water parks.

We went last year for 2 weeks & only had 1 cold day in that entire time. We went to the water parks & pools! It was a great trip!pirate:

It depends...we went last year the week OF Thanksgiving and it was warm enough to swim. In 2008, we went the week AFTER Thanksgiving and it was COLD! We're from the South, so it definitely wasn't warm enough to get in the pool then!:rotfl:

Aside from the pools being heated, as others have stated, it's not unusual for the temps in Central Florida to be in the 80's and even push 90 well into December. I remember Christmases growing up in Florida where we were sweating in shorts and t-shirts running around in the front yerd. It will be less humid and the nights will get colder, but it might still be fairly warm out while you're there.

There's no forecasting these things until you get closer to your trip, of course, but I'm just throwing the possibility out there, as it is both possible and even probable.

I am from the south and we have been the last 2 thanksgivings. With the exception of a couple of days where the temps were in the 80's midday there was not a time I would have even thought about it. Definitely NOT after dark. BURRRR!!!We were in jackets, gloves, and earmuffs many morinings for Rope Drop. NOT pool weather for me. I don't swim unless it is 85 or htter and sunny. Weather in the south is notoriously unpredictable in Nov/dec. It could be 85 it could be 35 with no rhyme or reason!

Depends on the weather - it can vary substantially. But in November 2009 I was at Disney from 11/11 to 11/17 and I would say that you could swim in the pool every day but one. The pools are heated and it got to about 80 most days we were there. The one day we couldn't have considered swimming was quite cold, however. I don't think it got up to 60.

We were there during the end of the first week and into the second week of November last year and went in the pool most days. There was the remnant of some storm or other for a couple of days so it was very, very windy but it still was warm enough to swim.

We stayed at POR mid-November 2007. It was 80's every day; definetly hot enough to swim, and it felt great!:thumbsup2 We tried swimming once at night. The pools were nice and warm and perfect for swimming. Temps dropped to the 60's. It felt great if you weren't wet.:sad2: But when you get out of the nice warm pool to 60 degrees:eek:, and then have to walk all the way back to the room...BRRRRR!!!!:cold:

Lived here all my life, and truthfully, ya just never know. Could be 90 , could be 50 but it wont be 30 LOL!.. It also depends on your idea of "too cold". Pools are heated and open. Its just up to your personal preference...

Nope!!!! As previous replies have stated the pools are heated. This will be our 5th trip for November/December and we have swam almost every day of our trip (usually 10 day stays).

I think it depends on what your typical climate is where you're from. I'm from Northern MN, and I've gotten into the pool down there in January.

We have been there twice in November and three times in December and find them to be two of the best months to travel to WDW. There is always the possibility of a cold front moving through; especially in December but we have had good luck.
