Is not going to Palo a huge mistake?

Thanks to Tony & Barb's site and the Passporter I have looked over the menus for all four nights on the Wonder and they all look great. I really don't want to miss any of them. Additionally my Dfiancee is a very plain meat and 'taters kinda guy and was a bit turned off when we saw some of the Palo dishes on the Travel Channel last night as they were too fancy for him. So do I skip Palo? Should I try to make the reservations and then if it turns out we like our waiter (which seems to be the predominant case) and table mates - cancel? Will I live in regret for the rest of my life over this missed opportunity?

Please advise!

Been on 4 cruises and still haven't been to Palo. I keep saying next cruise. I know there will be a next cruise - I really want to go for the desserts.

1st cruise did not do Palo. 2nd cruise did the brunch AND dinner and loved it! Planning on Palo for the 3rd cruise for sure!

We did not do Palo on our first cruise because we only had 3 days and did not want to miss our regular rotation. On our recent 7 day, we did both dinner and brunch at Palo. I am a very, very meat and potatoes kind of person and I would recommend choosing brunch instead of dinner. There was a much larger choice and more leisurely pace to the brunch. We sat right at a window and the view was fantastic. I would say that if you do not do Palo, no big deal, but if you can talk your DF into brunch, you will not regret it. ;)

I HAVE BEEN ON 10 CRUISES, ONLY HAVE DONE PALO TWICE, THE ONLY REASON IS BECAUSE ONE OF MY OLD SERVERS IS IN PALO NOW AND THIS GAVE ME TIME TO TALK TO HIM, I COULD HAVE DONE WITH OUT, FOR THE EXTRA MONEY $10 FOR THE BOTH OF US AND THEN A GRATUITY, WE HAVE SO MUCH FUN WITH OUR REGULAR SERVERS AND DIDN'T WANT TO MISS THE TIME WITH THEM

We did not go to Palo on ou 1st cruise, and have not been scarred by life for it! LOL I say don't worry about it, and if you love the Cruise Line as much as we do, you'll be going back anyways :-P

We went to Triton's and Palo the same night! We had early seating with the kids and just "sampled" our food and skipped dessert. An hour later we had the kids in the clubs and we went up to Palo. It was convenient going on the Triton's night because we were already dressed up for dinner.

We skipped Palo on our 1st cruise because, as one of the other posters said, we didn't want to miss a dining room in our rotation. We did go to Palo for dinner on our 2nd cruise and absolutely loved, loved, loved it so much that we went back on the last night. We definitely will be eating at Palo again for dinner and will add High Tea and the Champagne Brunch also. Will you die if you don't go to Palo? Probably not, but you'll think you've died and gone to heaven if you do. HTH

I'll probably make reservations for Palo for the 4th night and then see how it goes and maybe cancel. That way at least the option is open.

Such great decisions to have!

We've been on 4 cruises and to this point have only done High Tea. Palo is lovely and the food (at least what we had that day) was wonderful. We are going to try Palo for dinner this coming cruise. I never felt that we were missing anything. The service is the dining room is wonderful. For your 4 day cruise don't feel bad about missing it.
