Is Norway in Epcot opening at 9AM when Frozen opens?

I booked Akershus at 8am, hoping to do the A+E meet and greet, then have a FP for FEA later. I have a travel agent advising and she mentioned that area of Epcot doesn't open until 11?

If it's not opening at 9, we'd rather not rush as we are staying on West Coast time this trip, for the most part.

Thoughts?

I was thinking the exact same thing, as the first full day I'm there, Epcot has EMH so might be, if it's open, worth heading straight to Norway.

Although with how popular both the ride and the meet and greet will be I think they would be crazy not to open it with the rest of the park.

But currently Disney is doing a lot of crazy things so you never know.

Yes Norway pavilion well open at 9am starting June 21st.
As of now only the meet and greet will also be open during both emh

Yes 9am. If it didn't open until 11 then you would still have to get there early as people will line up at 9am and wait until 11. This is what they did with the Anna and Elsa meet and greet when it was in first in Norway, so they'll be opening at 9

I would advise against the Akershus breakfast if you want to do the M&G first thing. Epcot lets guests into the park by about 8:45 now. So you may not be done with your meal by the time the first guests queue up for A&E. If A&E is the target, I would just plan to be at the Epcot gates by 8:15ish so you're at the head of the rope drop pack.

Can I ask a follow up question to this.

So with Norway being open for EMH/Rope Drop, if you're entering through the IG will you have to go (I think left) Through the UK (yay), Canada round the front through Mexico to Norway.

Or will they let you go (Right?) through France, Morocco, Japan, America Adventure, Italy Germany, China to Norway.

And if you can go either way? then which way would be the quickest.

I am assuming it will be the France route, as even though it seems slightly longer you won't hit the crowds coming in the main entrance

There are ropes between France and Morocco and between Norway and China until 11:00 AM.
( I did read a report the other day from some Guests who reported they went past France to get to Norway-evidently they went in the IG REAL early before the ropes were put up.)

you will only be able to go through Canada, UK,Mexico and then Norway.
If they are smart, CM will walk with ropes from the IG and also from the front entrance. Then, again if they are smart, both groups will converge in the middle (where the walkway from Future World ends by the 2 gift shops) and keep walking towards Norway

So normally, if you have an 8am reservation at Akershus, and you're going thru the International Gateway, you'd have to go to the right & not the left? I thought we'd be able to go left thru the WS to get there. I didn't realize we'd have to go the other way. Is that right?

Normally you have to turn left from the IG and go thru UK and Canada. Turning right will get you to France, and no further.

Also, worth noting, while the ride opens at 9:00 for some unknown reason (for now) they did not release FP from 9:00 AM to 11:00 beyond 6/27. So for the first week they start at 9:00 AM but after that they don't start till 11:00. I keep hoping that changes

Staying at the Boardwalk, when I do in for my 8 am ADR, i will have to turn left and go through Mexico instead of France. It's the same for ADRs? Just trying to get my game plan on mostly to make sure we're on time for the ressie. Where is the check in?

left through Mexico is the only way before 11am.

you mean having an ADR for 8am then going to Soarin? that's doable. If you want to eat at 8am, do FEA after and then get to the 10am fp that should be doable as well since your fp time would be from 10 until 11

You will have to go through United Kingdom/Canada/Mexico to access Norway.

Until 11:00 AM there are ropes between France and Morocco and between Norway and China.

Yes,you can beat the Maingate /IG lines to Royal Summerhaus IF you don't mind eating QUICK.

Just be sure you don't dine at Akershus on an AM EMH day at Epcot-you'll have no "jump" on the Maingate/IG lines on those days.
