Is Nemo a good first ride for 2 year old?

I thought I'd post this on the families board since more of you would have had experience with toddlers. For those who have experienced the new Nemo ride, is it a good pick as a first ever ride? Our first day is in Epcot, and we plan to eat dinner at Coral Reef. Seems like a great opportunity to try the new ride right away. I think it will be a perfect intro ride for my older kids, but I'm not sure about the youngest. I had heard the shark is scary?

He LOVES Nemo and fish. Loves aquariums. He's not too sure about the dark (but I think he'd be fine with us near him) and I'm worried about the shark. Thoughts?

I took my 2.5 DD on it 2 weeks ago. She was scared (only for a second) when the fish tries to get Nemo. It is the fish when Dori and Marlin go down in the deep water and the fish has a light on his head. It is quick and she didn't cry, she just help my hand. The second, third and fourth time we went on it, she had no problem. I would say take him on the ride. it is just like the movie

Thanks for the opinions and thanks for the review, All4fun! It was really useful. I'M looking forward to the ride too! I think he'll love it. Nemo and friends is one of the only group of Disney characters he already knows well.

I haven't been there but I am disappointed dby how dark it is. I think it will be scary for some small kids who relly loved the movie.

If you are referring to the movie. I think the video camera may have made it darker than it really is. Plus those clam mobiles are just too cute.

My opinion is that if the kids can watch the movie with no problem, they can ride the ride with no problem. The ride is no scarier than the movie.
We rode it last week and it was adorable! We really enjoyed it!
