Is my math correct?

So let's say I'm buying a BLT resale contract which has 385 points each year. The UY is December. There are no points from 2018 on the contract. There are 385 pts. available for 2019 and 385 available for 2020. As of December 1, 2020, if I have banked the 2019 points on time (by ?) will I have 770 points available? Am I able to reserve a room in January 2020 for December 2020 (11 months window?) using some of the 770 points? If I choose (based on 2020 BLT points chart) 12/24 through 12/31 theme park view is that 465 points? If I want to stay 12/22 and 12/23 is that 92 additional points? If I want to stay 1/1/21 is that 44 additional points for a total of 601 points? If I did all this would I be left with (770-601) 169 points to use or bank in 2020?

You have until July 31, 2020 to bank your 2019 UY points into the 2020 UY.

Dec 1, 2019 you get 385 points from your 2019 UY. You have until July 31, 2020 to bank them. If you bank them, Dec 1, 2020 you have 770 points to use in the 2020 UY.

Your 2020 UY will run Dec 1, 2020 to Nov 30, 2021.

You can reserve a room anytime as long as you will have points available at the time of the trip. No problem booking Jan 2020 for your Dec 2020 trip.

Your total point cost will break down like
12/22 - Tues - Choice Season - 46 points
12/23 - Wed - Choice Season - 46 points
12/24 - Thurs- Premier Season - 63 points
12/25 - Friday - Premier Season - 75 points
12/26 - Saturday - Premier Season - 75 points
12/27 - 12/31 Sun - Thurs 5 Premier season nights @ 63 pts a night
1/1/2021 -Friday - Adventure Season - 44 points


I count 664 points for that trip. You'd have 106 points left for your 2020 UY to use. Your math is just a touch off since Dec 24 to Dec 31 is 8 nights, not 7. The Weekly point rate is for a Fri to Fri 7 night stay.

A few follow up questions, please. If I bank by July 31, 2021 the 106 points that I have left from 2020 use year, can I use them with my December 2021 385 points (491 total so far) then borrow points from December 2022 UY (have until ? to borrow) to get to 664 again for December 2021 stay assuming points chart for 2021 does not change?

That seems correct. The 106 points from your 2020 UY would get banked into your 2021 UY, giving you 491 points for your 2021 UY (December). Booking a December 2021 stay, you would be able to use those 491 points, plus borrow up to 385 from your 2022 UY.
