Is MuppetVision 3D really going to reopen on June 1st?

Frozen Fun is supposed to vacate the MuppetVision 3D theater, with the adorable and funny Muppets returning on June 1st. This date was already pushed back once. I'll be visiting DL/DCA starting June 4th - I've seen the show at WDW but not at DL. Even if it's the same, I want my Muppets!

Does anyone know if Frozen will definitely be kicked out and the Muppets reinstated where they belong? :-)

I highly doubt it. If they were going to re-instate the Muppets next week, I would think the Sing Along would already have to have closed so that they could convert the theater back to the Muppets. At this point, the Disneyland calendar has show times listed for the Frozen Sing-Along in June, so it seems likely that the Sing-Along will remain until the demand dies out.

With the new Muppet Show starting this fall, they may be revamping the Muppet's attraction?

It's not. Asked on Twitter if the Frozen Sing-Along had an end date and they said no.

This would make more sense. Start the Muppets back up in the fall with the show. Of course, they may be waiting to see if the show is viable anymore. If it's a flop on TV, Disney may hold on to Frozen.

For me, now that I've see the Frozen sing-along, I'd like to have my Muppets back. But I'm sure there's a lot of parents of girls out there who are hoping to catch this show. So Disney may keep it open through another winter of Frozen Fun.

I don't think that the Muppet attraction will drive anyone to watch the show, so there's no reason to convert it back at this point. Now if the show is wildly popular and drives people to an attraction, then I think it might come back. Though to be honest that theater could be half the size without the pre-show area and still be a good attraction. The space that's there now could be a decent dark ride.

The Frozen Singalong is showing as far out as the full entertainment calendar goes right now, which is end of June. As long as it stays popular, I can't see them ending it during the summer high season. If they're still offering FP, they think it will be busy.

Did the Muppet show draw many guests? IIRC, the theatre was very empty last time I went.

It varied...when it first opened, it was very popular. During busy times of the year, it could still draw in a crowd, but on most days (in the recent past) it was pretty empty inside. It had also been pre-empted for several movie previews (Frankeninnie, Oz, Prep and Landing, etc.), which probably indicated that it's popularity was on the decline. I would like to think that it (or something else featuring the Muppets) will return at some point, but I don't forsee it happening as long as Frozen remains popular.

I would think some time would be needed to turn the theater back into Muppets. I knew the Frozen show was in the same theater, but I was surprised at how it was really completely Frozen themed. I'm also pretty sure Frozen is more popular than The Muppets right now so they will keep that going as long as they can. I do miss the Muppet show, too, though.

I think it would take a month, probably longer to convert the theater back to the Muppets. Frozen is still drawing a packed house so it isnt going to happen for a while in my guess.

If Frozen is pulling a full house and Muppets were 20%, I can see them sticking with Frozen until they start getting 50% crowds, or less, then move to the "next" thing.

Any word on if the Muppets came back?
No, Muppets has not returned. The theater is still being used for the Frozen Sing-Along. Perhaps when the new Frozen show opens in the Hyperion Theater (next summer), the Muppets might return (although, Disney might decide to keep both Frozen shows).

The Muppets didn't get much attention. I was sad to see they were gone on my trip there in May. I like the Muppets but knowing they aren't popular & Frozen is I doubt they will return.
