Is Mulan worth buying?

Just curious. We haven't seen it and DD4 keeps seeing the commercial for the DVD. Before I give, in I just wandered if it's worth it?

I think it is a great movie. I like it a lot.

It's a great movie about a girl showing that she can do anything a man can do. I think it's great for little girls to see this movie.

The second one looks horrible. Make sure you buy the first one and not the hideous straight to video/DVD sequel.

The sequel tends to wash all the great ideals out.


I love love love Mulan. Its one of my favorite Disney movies.

A very good "girl power" movie, as my DD (age 22) calls it.
Her VHS copy is about worn out and she can't wait for next week to get the DVD. She watches that more than any other movie

Yea!! This sounds PERFECT for Maddie. I'll be getting it immediately. It will make a great surprise for her. It's kind of been one of those weeks around here.

Yanno, I bought it a couple yrs ago cuz I just have to have all the movies..LOL...BUT, I finally watched it last month, and now have watched it again. Mushu the dragon is hilarious!! Think 'donkey' in Shrek...same thing... but a great feel good movie!

I agree - Mulan is an excellent movie for girls - for a cartoon character, she sure is a great role model.

Ok, embarrassing post but here it goes...

My friend and I took our kids to see Mulan. So we're watching the movie and the main guy character, who's name I can't think of, takes off his shirt. Both of us had this quick intake of breath because the boy is built.

Who knew an animated character could have such a great bod? It was really sad. We still laugh about it.

But Mulan is a great movie.

Yes, buy Mulan. My daughter and sons, all love it. I really enjoy the music. Just great! I think Mulan is an underrated movie.
