Or does it change seasonally? And I'm sure this has been covered in thousands of posts...but where are some good spots to watch where we don't have to save a spot in advance? (Is there such a thing?) We will have 4 preschoolers along so wondered if in Town Square near the parade exit would be good?

It is generally at 3 PM, but recently changed. We always enjoy Frontierland locations for watching the Magic Kingdom parades.

I thought I read it is a temporary change and it will go back to 3:00
I've heard why they had to move it to 2:00 for a while but now I forget what it was
Off to search for the announcements that were made

Like PP, we watch in Frontier Land. You can walk up there 1 min before it starts and have a spot at the rope even during a busy time. Just wait near a path that they'll close off at the start of the parade and follow the rope when they pull it across. Instant front row

In answer to your first question, this is the first change in ages, so I wouldn't call it a "seasonal" change. However, this may be the start of something periodic and perhaps it will now be a seasonal change. We just don't know.

I don't think the flag pol area is a good plan with 4 preschoolers. That area is usually pretty crowded, so you will have to arrive early. In addition, the parade starts in Frontierland so you have to wait for it to get to you. In Frontierland, you can arrive later and leave earlier - -seems like a better plan to me.
