Is MK Opening still going on since railroad is under construction?

I read that the MK railroad is under a partial rehab. Has that affected the opening show?

We were there Aug 30 and the opening show was not affected. It was great. and you can still ride the RR

However work on the station will be ongoing through December. The railroad will remain open during the rehab though, and the opening show will remain unaffected.

What does the opening show look like/entail? Is it REALLY worth trying to see? Please tell me the RR is still up and running, I look forward to this ride for the kids.
