Is Mickey's fun wheel the most scariest ride in the park?

Not the stationary cars lol. That's what I rode with my daughter. My husband and other daughter went on the swinging cars and were in the laps of the people across from them.

It's certainly one that all of us refused to ride (the swinging cars). I can imagine many barf on that ride so no thank you.
If California Screamin didn't go upside down, then my DS would have gone on that one.

Some people hate them and others are unfazed. My daughter and I really enjoy them and that little swing of the cars, but we have friends who refuse to go on them.

We rode the swinging cars last year when our then 7 and 4 year old girls wanted to try them. I did not, but did it for them. First clue was the barf bags that dd4 cutely held up for a picture just as the ride was starting.

I still have scars on my back from where dd4 gripped into me like I was her last hope. It was absolutely horrendous. Dd4 doesn't even do roller coasters, so she was straight up terrified. Dd7 was only slightly better off, and I was only ok because I had to be for them. Dh laughed like a maniac the whole time because that's what he does when he's totally freaked out.

Honestly, it was the slow moving and quiet pauses between each horrifying drop and swing. The anticipation was killing. I would have paid the ride operator any amount of money to let us off when we slowly rolled through after the first go around! There were lots of tears and screams.

We joke about it now- it's a great family story. But never again.

Our youngest LOVED it, it's her favorite attraction. Mickey's Fun Wheel of Death is just great. I wish you could get more than one full-speed revolution... maybe 3 would work.... I like it. Amy is a big green at times.

I didn't get sick, but my head just could NOT wrap around the fact that I was safe. Every slide forward sent me into a panic and had me clawing my DH and wanting to climb up the back of the cage! The slide backwards didn't bother me, but probably because I couldn't 'see' the direction we were falling so it didn't feel like we were going to slide right off the rail and do a nose dive into Paradise Bay! I went on it twice because I thought the first time terror was a one off. Nope.

For some reason the last two times I've been there, I've had an almost irresistible urge to try it again. Luckily, I've been talked out of it. Meaning that no one would go on it with me!!!

So glad to see this posted..... for YEARS I debated riding the swinging cars. Some trips, I was ready, but could not find someone in my group to ride with me. Once I DID, we ran over, and they just closed off the line because of WoC later that evening. It became a bucket list item for me, a total "I must conquer my fear, face my fear!"

OK, so I finally FINALLY rode the swinging cars in July of this year...... Um, WAY EXAGGERATED!! The first time it swings, it is like "whoa, what is happening?" But after that, NO BIG DEAL! It is not a wild swinging motion, and god forbid, it is NOT SPINNING. It is a gentle rocking motion, like a rocking chair. (Unless you have kooks in your car that shift back and forth and MAKE IT swing wildly).

So, to summarize, I was VERY worried, nervous, scared to ride the swinging cars. I WATCHED many many YouTube recordings of people becoming completely unglued and hysterical. Now, generally speaking, I like all rides, unless they spin, or some virtual reality types, or generally I do not really like Ferris wheels but love roller coasters. Now I finally tried it, and I would for sure ride again. My friend who rode with me had the same experience. And thanks to the young cute couple of kids from Japan that rode with us, they were pretty comforting before we realized it was not so bad, and even enjoyable.

I can barely handle the stationary cars. I did the swinging cars once and was pretty convinced my life was over. Never again.

To be fair, I am pretty nervous about heights. Most roller coasters don't bother me too much as far as the height goes but I do avoid them since I tend to get motion sickness fairly easily. I'll do the mountains once on a trip, I just spread them out. Thankfully IJ is one of my favorites and I don't feel sick on that one.

Totally agree. We avoided riding the "Wheel of Death" for years and finally tried it recently. It wasn't anything like I expected, not even remotely traumatizing. We enjoyed it and look forward to it each trip now! And I'm not a big thrill ride person at all.

One and done here. Last time we were at the parks, we rode it. DH, ds and dd sat on one side, dd and I sat on the other. DD and I clung to each other the whole time, while the three stooges were laughing their heads off at us. DH stood up and took pictures, all the while making our cage shake. Never again. The thing that kept going through my mind was, if an earthquake struck and this tipped into the water, how will we unlock the cage to save my babies?

It seems fun in theory, but every time I go on it I feel like I'm going to fly right into Paradise Bay. The same feeling with the Silly Symphony Swings.

I think what makes the swinging cages scary is that it doesn't look that bad when you are in line. I went on with my mom years ago thinking it would be a nice gentle ride. We got the swinging car and it was scary. Especially for my mom who has a fear of heights.

DH calls it Wheel O' Terror or Wheel of Death. And he's done the drop ride on top of the Stratosphere Hotel in Vegas. It is a very pretty ride with the cars swinging gentling in the setting sun. And then you make the mistake of going on one. Stationary I can handle--I love heights. All the roller coasters-no problem. But those swinging cars! It seemed like the ride would never end. We stumbled off it and headed for TSMM where the slight spinning finished us off.

I've gotten over my fear mostly by entwining my fingers in the cage on either side of me. That gives me a sense of control. I think for me, what causes the fear is the fact that there are no restraints holding me in, even though the cage itself is locked (I hope).

Now Goofy's Sky School is another thing entirely. The G-forces as your car goes around the bend are such that it feels like the car is going to jump the track on every curve. Even though I'm restrained in the car, I can't get over my fear on that ride. Reminds me of an old movie I saw 40 years ago called Rollercoaster:
