So we've been to the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and we thought it wasnt exactly worth the money. So do you think the Christmas Party is worth paying for? We will be there during Christmastime for the first time and are considering attending this.

We didn't feel it was worth the money. Very crowded. no spots on Main St for castle stage shows, fireworks etc. Character lines were ridiculously long. We won't be doing any special ticketed events again. I'm sure others have a different opinion and enjoyed the party but we were not impressed at all.

If I was there for long vacation and doing lots of parks I would say no.

If I were coming to town, staying a night or two, and just going to the party I would say yes. Going to the party is cheapest way to see the MK without buying a multi-day ticket or annual pass.

It's not to us anymore. It's gotten so crowded compared to years past. Also, to me there's even less to do than at the Halloween party. Yes there's hot cocoa and cookies but that doesn't spread people out as well as the trick-o-treat lines. Here's our vlog from 2014 which is the last time we attended MVMCP. If you watch the parade in particular gives you an idea of the crowd levels. All of that said, I think it's worth doing once for everyone, depending on the size of your family & budget.

I went with a friend this last November. That was the only Disney thing we did as we were staying over in Cocoa Beach. It was SO awesome! We didn't have kids with us so we didn't do any character M&Gs, and I have to eat GF so we didn't worry about cocoa and cookies. The parade was amazing, as were the fireworks and castle lighting. Most rides were a very short wait (5 minutes for Peter Pan) but the 7DMT was an hour wait so we skipped it. We thought it was perfect for our needs!

I love the parade and fireworks but I'm not sure it is worth the expense or the fact that to really be worth it you feel like you need to stay quite late and that sort of sets you up for being tired the next day so you don't get a full day's worth out of the next day either. I'm glad I've done it but I won't do again anytime soon.

If you didn't think MNSSHP was worth the money, I doubt you will think the Christmas party is worth the money. We have been to both several times. I am far more of a Christmas person than a Halloween person, but as far as the parties go, I think MNSSHP is more fun than MVMCP.

thanks for that video. It gave us a good idea of what it would be like. We are probaby gonna skip it. It seems like we can get a similar xmas experience just normally at the parks. I'm sure they have xmas parades etc.. normally at the parks right?

We love it. But it's not worth it if you use a ticket during the day. We just go at 4 or 5 when MK opens to the ticket holders. So we never sacrifice a day ticket plus the Christmas party ticket. And then it becomes a very economical way to get into the park. We had a great time last November whenwe went. Got in all the rides we wanted.

MVMCP is one of my favorite things to do when we go in November! I just love it. I have gotten lucky, because the last 3 years I've gone to MVMCP, the party was not sold out and the park just felt empty! No lines for any rides, which is great! Having the park the way we did this past trip (we went to the party on 11/12), makes it so worth it! We had an early dinner at 4:30 at BOG, it was crowded at that time because MK wasn't yet closed to guests not attending. We finished dinner and by 7pm the park got less and less crowded. We were walking around at one point with no one around at all! Enjoyed the first parade, got a spot for the fireworks after and then hit up more rides. If I went to a sold out party, then I am not sure I'd feel the same way. Crowds really do make all of the difference.

We are going in September this year, so this is the first time in 4 years that I am missing out on the Christmas party. I am curious to see how much the tickets will be this year though. They increased about $10 from 2014-2015. Crazy!

I haven't been to the Christmas party. But, like you, OP, I've been to the Halloween party and we also didn't think it was worth what we paid for two adults (I can't imagine paying for kids on top of that). I mean, we really enjoyed trick-or-treating, and the fireworks and parade were nice, but it still seemed overpriced. From what I've read, the Christmas party has even less to do, as other posters have said above.

We had a good time when we went, but it was definitely crowded. We also didn't do nearly as much as we did in years past, plus some of the events from years past no longer are there. Now it seems like a lot of character meet and greets. Do NOT do the Wishes Dessert party during the party. I idiotically did this and a complete waste of time and money imo. I would probably do the party again as an alternative to a full MK day. Just enter the park when the party starts and save money on the all day ticket plus the cost of the party.
ETA: Pay attention to which day you book the party. Some sell out, some do not. While I felt it was more crowded, from what I read it was no where near as crowded as on other party days. We went on a Tuesday, first week of December.

We attended a sold out MVMCP in December 2014 and it was awful. The crowds were ridiculous and people weren't very nice. Long lines, short tempers. My youngest daughter was 7, and she got clocked in the face by someone/something as we were fighting our way through the hub. Her poor little eye is swollen and red in our pictures with Elsa. The hot chocolate was too hot to enjoy when we first got it, and by the time it cooled we realized it was watered down Swiss Miss cocoa. The cookies were very bland, prepackaged, nothing special or magical at all. Besides that, the park looked beautiful, the parade was wonderful, and we really enjoyed meeting the Princes that were out with their Princesses. We may try it again in the future, but definitely one of the early dates that isn't likely to sell out.

If you didn't feel the Halloween was worth the money- then no. We didn't feel either one was worth the money- but the Halloween was way better than the Christmas. You can see the castle be lit every night at MK, there is plenty of decorations at the parks and resorts to fully enjoy Christmastime without spending all that money. It's so crowded and really isn't worth hot cocoa, cookies, a parade and fireworks.

we went in 2014 on our first trip to disey. For us it was one and done, I did not think it was worth the money but glad we did it and we would not do it again
