is mickey mouse dead?

does anyone know if old mickey mouse cartoons come on television. i hate that i have a 3 year old god daughter that has no idea who all of the old school characters are. i mean she knows mickey and minnie, goofy, donald, and cinderella. but has no idea about anyone else. i mean she doesn't have any interest in merlin and wart, chip and dale, mr. toad, robin and little john!!!! we are having a grand gathering, and i am afraid these characters she has never seen, doesn't love, are going to freak her out. she doesn't have any clue pluto is a good guy. i remember as a kid, staying at the resort and there were always cartoons on. last year on my hunnymoon all they had on the cartoon channel was new crap. i know mickey is iconic, but what will the parks be like in 20 years? i mean everyone knows who br'er rabbit and br'er fox is. don't they?

buy a few DVD's or check out some yards sales for old vhs or hit the library. BTW DH and I and to ask the CM who Br'er Fox was.

Also look into Disney treasures they have all the MM cartoons black & white and color, they are limited editions and you may have to try ebay to see them. I think they have 3 sets now on Mickey

Check out the Disney Channel - they run different cartoons all the time.

Also there are all the dvd's with everything Disney has ever put out. Either buy them or get them at the library or rent them. Any blockbuster has all the disney films.

We discovered this when we were evacuated for 2 hurricanes this season and the family wasn't into non-stop cartoons on the main tv. We pulled out the laptop and now our DD can't get enough of chip and dale.

You can search for Chip and Dale cartoons. After you watch one, it will suggest others and there are old Mickey and Donald cartoons. Great and free if you have the internet connection!

Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers were on every day this past summer, but now that I'm working, I don't know if they are still on.
Also, I say take a look on Ebay, you can find anything and everything on there!

Hi all we stayed in the cabins last month and they had all the old mickey cartoons on the tv my 4 year old daughter loved them she was glued to the tv when we were in the cabins getting ready we had to pull her away, I did ask in DTD and they didn't know what I was talking about but I am interested to know maybe on ebay or something anyone know besides on youtube? These are dvd's on ebay and amazon. My MIL has the Mickey one. There are 12 volumes, one of which is Chip and Dale. I need to get it because right now I am sharing half of this computer with my daughter while she watches them on you tube!

Have you tried the Disney Treasures DVDs? The ones in the tins. You can defintiely still get them on Amazon and eBay.

They have all of the old cartoons on them. Each DVD is focused on different characters and Mickey's DVDs are divided into the Black and White and Color Categories. There are also Silly Symphonies on another DVD. That one has all of the classic story cartoons and fables.

Comcast On Demand has House of Mouse, which is really cute. It combines classic Disney (MM,MM,DD,DD,Goofy) with newer characters from the movies (Lion King, Aladdin, etc.) My kids watch it over and over in anticipation of our trip which is 6 weeks from today...

You can also find House of Mouse on Toon Disney (on Cable or the Family level of ATT U-verse) - it's another station owned/operated by Disney and not the Disney Channel. They also run old Disney cartoon series shows - you can find the occasional Rescue Rangers.
