Is Magical Express worth it?

I have two concerns with using Magical Express. When you arrive at Orlando International, is there much of a wait to get on a bus? I remember reading horror stories from people waiting and waiting for Mears shuttles at the airport.
Also, when you are traveling back to the airport after your vacation, do they want to pick you up hours before your flight because they have multiple stops? I'm afraid of wasting precious Disney hours messing around with this, and wonder if I should just spring for a Towncar (did one last trip and loved it).

:confused3

Most people are at thier resort within 75 minutes of touchdown, which is near what a Towncar could provide.

DME is designed to get you to the airport two hours prior to flight time, which is what Orlando Int'l recommends.

WE used Magical Express in January, from landing to checking in at BWV it was 1 hours, they picked us up 3 hours before our flight, it was GREAT, looking forward to using it again in May

It's free so it definitely has value. We had no problems using it in September and look forward to using it in a couple of weeks. One of the nicest pieces of it is that once we check our luggage in at our local airport we don't have to handle it again until we check out on departure day. Disney takes it from the airport to your resort room. And now that we fly a participating airline we don't have to lug it back to the airport either. We check it in at the resort and don't see it again until we retrieve it at our local airport. Very Nice :thumbsup2

Personally, I'd take the money I would have spent on a Town Car and go out to a nice meal. Just after the meal, I'd sit back and think that the time spent on the bus that "paid" for that meal was worth it.

However, I can see people who are so anxious to get to The World that even 15 minutes of waiting would put a serious damper on their mood. If that's you, may a town car from the airport is worth it. But I'd still might take ME to the airport.

WE used DME three times this winter. Twice we were checking in at the WL within an hour of touchdown. It was about 1 hour and 15 minutes for the check-in at the YC.

All three times they picked us up about 3 hours before our plane departed. On Dec. 30 it was a good thing because we were in the security line at MCO for over 40 minutes. The other two times the security lines were much shorter.
