Does anyone know if Magical Express is available to Virgin customers?

There's no mention of it on their website, or in their brochure.

However, other travel companies who use Virgin Atlantic do advertise it in their brochures.

Thanks

Lara

Magical Express, the bus service to the resorts is availabale to any WDW resort guest. Bags with the ME luggage tags will be retrieved and brought to the guest's room. It is on the return that only certain airlines participate in the direct luggage check in. If your airline participates then you can bring your bags to concierge where they will check your bags and get them to the airport.

I went with Virgin holidays last year, they do there own shuttle bus from the airport to disney, so no I don't. I also think that last year there must have been a falling out between disney and virgin. On the 2005 dvd there is a whole section on how good Virgin is and how to book with Virgin, along with a booklet. In the 2006 no mention of Virgin and full of how to book direct with Disney.

How do you obtain the luggage tags?

I think it's more to do with:
A) The contract between Virgin & Disney expired.
B) Disney want a slice of Virgins market, thus they are getting in on it themselves.

Let's face it - loads of UK folk go to Orlando, and the Disney name will encourage folk to go all-in with them to the Disney hotels.

It's win-win for Disney ;)

too get the tags phone disney direct and qoute dates and ariline they will send out 2 weeks before departure, dont wory if no tags arive you can pick up your luggage then go to the ME desk. You have to pre book no just turnning up and saying you are staying on disney property, they had to do this to keep limo compays from moaning

As stated above, I don't think you can book Magical Express if you have booked through Virgin (at this time).

I am not 100% sure but I think if you phone Disney to book this you won't be able to (unless you have booked the room with them of course), or the company has an arrangement with WDW to offer it.

I think I read somewhere (that's a helpful statement  ) that if you don't book ME, you can still arrange it when you get to the airport, it will just take slightly longer to organise. Does anyone know if this is true, and if it can be done for Virgin customers?

Just use Virgins transport, you have to take your luggage but its free, and if you do the downtown disney check in you can get picked up from there
