Is "Magic Kingdom Welcome" Safe?

With the recent "retirement" of "The Adventure Begins",DAK has joined Epcot and Hollywood Studios by only having an audio "announcement" at Park Opening.(By the way,I think the best Opening Announcement of the 3 is Epcot's,where Guests hear "Good Morning" in all of the Wordl Showcase languages.)

Disney Parks Blog has an entry today about "Magic Kingdom Welcome",so hopefully that is a good indication there are no current plans to "retire" it also.

One thing that SHOULD have been noted in the entry is that Disney uses shorter versions of "Magic Kingdom Welcome" at times.

I can't speak for the other parks, but there was no Welcome Message at Hollywood Studios on Christmas Eve. I happened to be there because my other plans went bust. Waited around for entry. One moment we couldn't go through, the next moment we could. That's it.

The only announcements were occasional audio recordings to get people to try out for the American Idol thing. It was horrifying to see some of the people in line start dancing to the music that came with it. The horror!

I didn't realize they had cut the AK welcome as well (they were still doing it in October). If they ever cut out the MK one, I would be SO disappointed. It's my favorite way to start the day!

Oh no, please, don't even think about it. That would be tragic. The MK Welcome / Good Morning show is soooo special!

Shhhh... Don't jinx me! I've made a point to plan to see it in January on the grounds that it may well not be there by the time our next trip rolls around, and I don't want them to decide to nix it along with everything else they've axed for Jan/Feb this year!

I really hope they don't remove the cute rope drop show at the Magic Kingdom

My wife would be devastated if they did away with the "Good Morning" song at MK, but personally I liked it better when they used to let you onto Main St. and did separate rope drops into each land from the "hub". It seemed to spread things out and prevented that "funnel" squeeze under the train station that makes you feel like cattle being run down a chute.

I love MK morning show. It is my absolute favorite!! I sing along, we know all the words. I still get excited when the characters come in on the train, I'm like, 'look, its Mickey! and Pluto!!" LOL
We all love the show and get there extra early to see it. If they took it away I would seriously complain (and I never do that).
I also love the "walking right down the middle of main street usa" and trolley song. I have the dvd and we listen to it all the time.
