Did my ADR"s this AM (Yay, can't believe the day finallly arrived!). Got everything I wanted except for...you guessed it, LeCellier! The only day it was available is the day we planned to go to Sea World. For a second, I thought I would just switch the 2 days, but then I realized by going to Epcot that day instead, we'd need a hopper to catch pm EMH at MK so that we can see Wishes. By going to SW, we can just use a park ticket to get into EMH if we decide to. Our opportunities to see Wishes are very limited, so made Wishes a priority over eating at LeCellier......hope that wasn't a mistake!? I booked Garden Grill instead, which we've enjoyed in the past.

No, le cellier is okay and we've eaten there twice for lunch but it's not as special or great as all the reviews. I really like the apps - mussels & soup but the entrees are just okay. The steaks are so so. Maybe its because I've been to A LOT of steakhouses in nyc, vegas, etc that it really doesn't compare at all.
I wouldn't worry about missing this restaurant.

We love LeCellier, but I would not rearrange our plans around getting a reservation there if we had planned to go to Sea World. If it were just switching going to AK vs. Epcot on a certain day, then yes, I'd change our plans. Enjoy going to see Wishes.

No...

The food isn't really all that amazing and the restaurant itself... well there was NO way it met normal layout measurements. The tables were WAY too close together.

Just my opinion, but it does not live up to the hype on these boards.

could you maybe try it for lunch one day and do a counter service instead on your SW day?

No, I wouldn't change up my whole vacation like that to go there. Granted, I am not a fan and don't really get the hype of the place.

We love it, but you can catch it next time. I would not miss my only chance to see Wishes.

That said, even my picky 9 year old asked to go back there on our trip in November.

He said, "aaaaahhhhh, gotta have those pretzel breadsticks...."

I thought the food was good, nothing so spectacular it was a must do.

I kind of think that people really want to get a reservation there because it's hard to get so having one seems more special. Le Cellier is like the "it toy" each holiday season.

Everyone has different tastes and different expectations. We personally love LeCellier; we've eaten there five times now and each time the meal has been better than the previous. We are skipping it this year only because DH wants to go to Coral Reef after a 12-year absence and we are only there for four days.

There are people who love LeCellier, and people who find it "eh". There are people who love Whispering Canyon, Brown Derby--and we thought WCC disgusting and Brown Derby "eh." And the list goes on and on for every restaurant. Like I said, everyone has different tastes, experiences, etc. Only you can really decide.

No, it wasn't a mistake. Le Cellier is good, but if you have to sacrifice something more important to you (and 50$ per person due to having to buy hoppers!) and rearrange half of your vacation schedule, then it's definitely not worth it and you made the right call. I would have done the same in your shoes (except, maybe something other than GG since the menu doesn't appeal to me).

Another alternative, have you looked into an earlier lunch? The menu is very similar (as is the pricing) and it's usually a little easier to get into then. Just a thought to attempt to get "the best of both worlds" ;).

No, LeCellier is no longer worth the effort.

We love LeCellier. :lovestruc
That being said, on our last 2 trips we were unable to get ADR's that fit into our schedule. We didn't miss it. There are so many fabulous places to eat in the World. :) And I would never miss Wishes for a steak (even a good one;)).

Been wanting to go there... but Family had Teppan Edo as a "Tradition"....

I had the opportunity In May...weeks ago... with just me and DS18.... we did Teppan Edo on our Epcot day....and I could plan Le Cellier as our "Pool Day" meal...

It TOTALLY Blew me away... DELICIOUS... Best meal of my trip.. . (vs. HBD, and Cali Grill, and ETC).

Don't miss WISHES for Le Cellier...but DO figure out an alternative...
Hugs,
Mary
