Is Le Cellier a must do for you?

Not a must do for us, was disappointed. Overpriced. Poutine was horrible, how can anyone ruin fries with toppings?
It may be a while before we try it again.

It was a one and done for us. The food was fine, but nothing I would rave about and our service was just mediocre. I found it loud and cramped (tables close together), so the atmosphere didn't do much for me either. For steak, Yachtsman is significantly better overall.

What's worse is that in an almost 95% empty restaurant, they sat us 6 inches from a couple ladies having an early dinner/late lunch, and in the aisle of a busy walkway for the wait staff, so we were getting brushed up against over and over, and hearing 110% of the conversation next to us, when there were only 10 people in the whole restaurant.

I get that they "seat" in "areas" but literally one on top of another is ridiculous for a Signature restaurant. Let's make you all really uncomfortable and charge an arm and leg to do it. No thanks.

I remember when Le Cellier was once a highly coveted reservation. Is this still a great restaurant to snag an adr? I just made a lunch adr for our first full day and I hope it is as great as it once was!

Opinions?
It was top of my list years ago. I have not gone back since the change to Signature. I saw no change in quality based on the menu to warrant it. It was already an expensive dinner...in a restaurant stuffed with tables so you are almost elbow to elbow with people. That is not signature dining to me.

Last time I was at the World, we had the deluxe dining plan and LeCellier lunch was still 1 credit so getting that ADR was a big score! :)

What a difference in terms of atmosphere and service between LeCellier and the signature restaurants we enjoyed on that trip. Yachtsman, Flying Fish and California Grill were all far above in every aspect. LeCellier with its dark atmosphere and tight tables and college intern waitstaff is no where near a signature level experience IMO.

NOTE: The food quality has not improved greatly nor has the interior since it become
a "signature" restaurant, I expect top service, food and surroundings. I don't want dark
boding colors, and worn carpets. Dungeons have more warmth. The cooks aren't that
good in preparing "fine" steaks; they are still used to the medium quality steaks from
the staple of the old menu. This is a true disappointment for a "signature" meal. They
want an increased the price without increasing the food or experience. The reputation
has always been overrated. I liken it to either "Drinking the Koolaid" or "Lemmings to
the Sea". Due to hard-to-get-ressies, people always assumed it was better than it was.
Unknown to many is that the food taste is raised much like frozen foods through the
addition of sodium. This is true of many WDW eateries. As a comparison, Le Cellier is
about the same (or less) as an Outback restaurant for beef . . and this hardly qualifies
the eatery as a "signature" or deserves the price.

We go during Food-and-Wine and have been happy visiting the Canada booth to get our 'fix' of the filet and cheese soup....I just see no reason to spend $52 on the entree anymore.

We've been twice. First trip was a few years back. It was amazing - service, steak, dessert, martini flight. We very much looked forward to our return this past October. Sadly, it was not what we remembered. The food was very good, but no where near great. Our server was one of the worst ever. She was inattentive and brusque.
We do not use the DDP but I would not say it is worth two dining credits.
The cheese soup, pretzel bread and maple crème brulee are still amazing. If we return, it will be for lunch and that will be our meal.
For an amazing steak in the Epcot area Yachtsman cannot be beat. (Captains Grill is also very good and fairly easy to get into.)
