Is Le Cellier a must do for you?

I remember when Le Cellier was once a highly coveted reservation. Is this still a great restaurant to snag an adr? I just made a lunch adr for our first full day and I hope it is as great as it once was!

Opinions?

IMO, this was a coveted ADR once upon a time. That ended when it became a signature. And IMO the quality of the food has declined in the last few years. We consider it at the bottom of the steak house ladder at WDW. If your goal is a very good steak at a Disney restaurant, try the Yachtsman instead. If your goal is a very good steak on property, try Shulas.

Well some things about Le Celllier. We have never had a bad exp. Service is always great. I had one of my top 3 meals there. Every one loves the appetizers. If you have never been then it is a must.

For me, it's good, but highly overrated. I'd save my money (or points) and use them for dinner adr's at Yatchsman or Shulas if you are going to be doing Epcot for the day. You could do a light lunch or snack, then a 5 or 5:30 dinner, walk back, and check out Illuminations.

That's just what I would do. Everyone will say something different.

If you want a steak inside the park then it's a fine one to do. But the quality of it is below Yachtsman or Shulas which is a short stroll outside of EPCOT. The one thing that is a bit better about it than the other two is that you'll find it's a little more themed than the others, but even then just barely more so than Yachtsman. It used to be a place we'd commonly do, in the last 3 trips we've not made any effort to get a reservation.

No, not a must do. It used to be a good restaurant but then they decided it should be "signature" level. However, all that translated to was doubling the price without an accompanying improvement in food quality or service.

Agree with others that there are far better steaks in WDW with lots more ambience too. In addition to those already mentioned, don't overlook the steaks at Jiko's -- they are to die for.

We did it a few times and was very good. If you are on the DDP I am not sure it is worth the 2 credits for dinner. I think it is a place you should try at some point but if you don't it is not the end of the world

My son and husband love the steaks at Yachtsman, Jiko, and LeCellier, and we tend to eat at all three on most trips. I agree that the quality of LeCellier had been declining since it went to a 2 TS restaurant and was not worth the credits. However, when we were there in December, I was pleasantly surprised to find the quality had improved and it was quite good, and it had the best charcuterie plate that we had anywhere on property.

It wasn't worth it in November. Our meal was pretty terrible. Turf Club has been consistently better.

Not our best experience (and since they raised the prices) not a must do. The restaurant is small and the tables are very close together. Two times we have been we have either hit the table next to us and knocked something over or the people next to us have hit our table. That resulted in two glasses of drinks being dumped and the server was of no help cleaning it up. Our table neighbors were mortified but they didn't do it on purpose. The food was ok; DH was disappointed in his steak as it was well done and when they brought it back to table, it clearly was the same one he just sent back. But their cheese soup and bread are good.

Not at all. We went once 8+ years ago because we like steak and there were so many rave reviews and we were extremely disappointed so we never went back.

I've been there twice and the steak was over-salted both times. Now I just go to the Canada booth during F&W for the cheese soup. That's delicious.

Us too! I was happy to have this ADR and left thinking it was the most overrated meal we have had. SInce the prices have been raised, and the DDP credits doubled, it eally is a must not do for us.

We were there in January and it was excellent. It had been a number of years since we had been able to get a reservation there but it was very good on our long ago visit also. Very good meal.

DH and DS are very happy with it, and do it every time. DH likes the mushroom filet. They have not tried Yachtsman yet, so can't compare. They we last there 2 yrs. ago, so don't know if it's changed since then. Friends of ours went for the first time last yr. though, and raved about it, and it now a must do for them. Since it's a 2 credit meal now, we split up, since DD and I are not steak lovers. Last time we did Akershus brft, and they did LeCellier lunch.

We pay out of pocket and have always enjoyed the food, delicious streaks really, and the unique Disney experience of eating there. We don't discount the World Showcase experience whatsoever, and the magic it brings because we have many steak restaurants very similar to Shula's, Yachtsman's, etc. where we live in CA. So, it's important to us to not just get a 'great steak restaurant', but also a unique and magical experience when we travel to Disney World. That's the whole point to us.

Wherever you go, sure hoe you have a magical time!

Very much NOT a must do, especially now that it's a "signature" location. It's nothing special at all. I make a better steak at home.

Signature or non-signature, Le Cellier has never been a must do ADR for me; in fact I highly doubt I will ever step foot in that place again. Actually I would place San Angel Inn, Tokyo Dining, Coral Reef, Monsieur Paul, Les Chef de France and Rose & Crown and Via Napoli better than LC in Epcot and if I were to include all the restaurants in WDW I highly doubt this place would even be in my top 20... Not impressed by it's dark, loud and cramped atmosphere and I'm not really impressed with the steaks either.
