Is late August 2016 going to be crazy busy?

We currently have plans for the 19-27th of 2016 but I am wondering if I should postpone it until the 60th stuff is over. I am wondering if everyone will be trying to cram in the very last of the 60th or if most people will have done it and with most kid back in school - we will be ok.

Any thoughts?

At this point it's hard to say what next summer will be like...I generally think the biggest parts of the 60th Celebration (PtN, Disneyland Forever, and WoC: Celebrate) will remain past the end of the official Celebration. So it all depends on whether they announce something special happening next summer. If nothing is added, then I don't know that there will be a big influx of guests right at the end of the celebration. If they add something, then there is the potential for another surge in crowds next year.

In terms of schools, some are back in session by then, but some are not. LAUSD may be back in session (I don't know for sure when they'll go back next year), but others, like San Diego are still out.

It depends when in August. At one point you have the blockouts on the lower level passes ending. Then you have some pre-Labor day crowds ahead of the half marathon weekend. In general, DLR is just crowded at all times of the year now. Disney does a good job of offering promotions and limited time events that makes people want to go at times when crowds might have been lighter. As PP eluded to, if they add something, people will show up.
