This is one of those things that I always see people eat but I've never tried myself. It looks delicious and huge and I've always wanted to try it but I think I kind of forget about when I am hungry or thirsty.

Got a few questions:
So is it as good as it looks? And what flavor is the best? Is the sweet milk on top good/worth it? And is it worth a Dining Plan snack credit?

Thanks!:-)

Yes! My 13 year old prioritizes it over attractions. It is kind of glorified snowcone, so if you like those, you will like it. I like the tangeriene, which is sweet and tart. I have not tried the milk topping, and would not consider a good use of a credit. As it is under $4.00.great to share!

I finally got to try one last month. I got the rainbow one (don't know the flavors, lol) with the cream on it. It was really huge & so good. It was a snack credit but the cream was $1 xtra that is not on snack plan.

Like the previous poster said it’s a glorified snow cone. The milk topping is just condensed milk. Is it worth it, yes, IF you like snow cones. I’m spoiled by shave ice and won’t bother with regular snow cones anymore.

Even when I see a Hawaiian shave ice stand, not on the islands I always ask is it real shave ice. I have always gotten an honest answer from the vendor and it’s uusually a no.

We LOVE kakigori. So yummy and definitely large enough for our family of three to share. We have not had it without the milk topping. We always get strawberry because that's the only flavor our daughter likes out of the ones offered. I think I would like all of them, though. Darn. Now I'm craving one.

They are particularly good on a hot day! Very satisfying, I too like the tangerine. I get the crème on top because I love sweetened condensed milk, but never allow myself to buy it!

I’ve been getting Kakigori at the Japan pavilion for more than 30 years. I always get the rainbow without milk. They got a new ice shaving machine a few years ago and the texture is now much better. It is not as good as what you can get in Japan - too much syrup and they use commercial syrups - but it is pretty traditional none the less. If you’ve never had one, try it.

My kids love it although they haven't gotten it with the milk. As a pp said it's perfect on a hot day!

I heard rave reviews and tried it with the sweet milk.

I found it rather bland but others in my party loved it.
