We don't fly often, usually drive, but our next 2 trips we are flying. We have enough points for 2 roundtrip flights. My question for those who fly often, we have 2 travelers in September 18-23, and 4 travelers January 25-2-2. Are we better off to use our points for flights for September or January?:confused3

Thanks:)

Flight costs from my neck of woods are about the same for Sept and January, as long as you are avoiding any type of holiday weekend, such as Presidents day weekend or something like that.

Sept and late Jan are great times to visit Disney as well...... low wait times!

We have flown to MCO both times in recent years and for us prices were better in September than in January. There are so many factors that can effect ticket prices that it's really a guess.

We've gone in both months many times & prices are around the same for either. Both are very off peak times but we've had both awesome weather and really crappy weather. Either rainy/muggy days in Sept (also peak hurricane season) or good chance of cooler weather in Jan. We've been in Jan when I just want to feel warm sunshine on my skin but high would be 55. Other times we've had our coats on with hoods up. After 3 yrs in a row of cold weather in Jan dh finally pleaded for me to stop booking Jan trips.
You just never know. A coworker went this past Feb (1st week of Feb) and had low 70s every day.
Now I hold out til late March & we've been lucky. The good part of either of these months are that fares are reasonable, resorts are very likely to have discounts & crowd levels are low.
