You know, I've always wondered about Sci-Fi and have read good and bad. But I think this is the first time I've really read some detail and have been able to pick out exactly why we probably wouldn't love it. I think it would drive me nuts to have to wait so long. And while the food looked ok, there didn't seem to be anything amazing about it - although that chocolate tart look quite yummy (I'm craving chocolate this week.)

I am not a patient person at restaurants - I like to get in, eat, and get out so it drives me insane and puts me in such a bad mood to wait so long. Unless it's a nice restaurant and I know I'll be spending a few hours there (ie CA Grill, V&A's, etc.) and that will be my evening plan - then it's okay. But Sci Fi and Ohana? No thanks! And you're right - the food at Sci Fi is really not good. With the exception of the BLT Soup (amazing!) and the burgers at lunch, there's nothing so stellar there. You go for the atmosphere - not the food (but after an hour even the atmosphere starts to wear thin!).

Oh, for my opinions on Sci-Fi, I'll keep it short!! The BLT soup, delicous!! One of my favorite apps anywhere!! My turkey sandwich was great too!! It was supposed to be served on multi-grain, but i went with white bread and 86'd the lettuce. It had an avocado mayonaise on it that was actually very tasty!! And that cheesecake. . .was soooooooooo good!! I was so full but I ate every single bite, yum!!! The first time we went to Sci-Fi it was for dinner and we hated it, we much prefer lunch. Unfortunately like you said, the service is slow no matter what time you go!! I have a feeling we'll be back!! Perhaps sometime in 2010. . .

I know! How am I supposed to pass the time for the next 75 days? LOL

great reviews! so glad you loved narcoossees, it is our fav. we are eating there twice ins ept! i LOVE the filet, its the best. thing. ever. so sorry you didnt get dessert. the almond crusted cheesecake is amazing!!! that means a next time, right?

Thanks for the great reviews. Love DH's comments as they sound what MY DH says about everything. Except his are more like, "Enh, it was OK."

Your Narcossee's review is making me think I should change a ressie to there. We have been really excited about O'hana and were planning it for our very last night but now I'm worried we'll be disappointed.
