Is it wrong that I have a Disney watch addiction?

I have started a nice little Disney watch collection, about 18 watches as of today when the newest one came. :)

 Also addicted. Just seems pointless to buy a watch that isn't Disney, now doesn't it? (Okay, so I bought a Swatch, but it's really pretty!)

DH shares my addiction. We are co-dependents!! :teeth:

Glad I'm not the only one. :)

My dh doesn't share my fondness of watches, he never wears one unless we are at Disney and I feel naked without a watch.

I'm jealous, I only have 3 :(

wow that's a lot! I always own one, but usually don't change watches. They also usually only last me about a year or so. I bought a Citizen Watch in MGM 2 or 3 years ago and it's still the only one I wear! If I had 18 of them - I'd never leave the house in the morning, how do you decide?

I have 2 though mostly wear when I am on vacation at WDW, sort of rounds it all out for me, LOL.

Gosh, I have a few Disney watches, too....some I got for free (promotions or something)! DH does NOT share my attraction! So, I can't go near a Disney watch anymore....."you don't need any more of those." :sad2:

Right now all but one are in storage until I get my display case, once I have that than it will be much harder to pick which one to wear. :teeth:

:scratchin a different one each day, roating through them all?

mtblujeans, all of mine but two have come from Avon. One I got at the watch store in Downtown Disney and the other came from www.disneywatchsale.com
DH doesn't mind that I have so many. :goodvibes

I'll have to take a look. Now that I am thinking about it, my watches must be all over the place....in the dresser, on the dresser, in the jewelry box. I should get them altogether and see what I have.

I know I bought a Mickey watch some years ago from a local grocery store. When I took it in to a jewerly store to have the battery changed a year later he came flying back out to the counter and told me that watch was of excellent quality and I should never get rid of it!! Really!?? A grocery story Mickey watch??? 'Ya never know....

I tell my kids their antiques will be plastic....we older folks need to keep everything! ;)

I also just bought a new Disney watch on Sunday - I love it!!

I also have several that I need to change the battery in

At the end of Chicken Little, we see the aliens look at their watch to check the time, and it is a 3-eyed Mickey watch. I so hoped that somebody at Disney marketing would be smart enough to produce that watch; I'd have snapped it up in a heartbeat!

:rotfl2: I think we'd all want one of those! :rotfl2:

I don't have as many, but I have quite a few. I even ebayed another Mary Poppins watch because one of my sons broke the display it goes onto. Of course, the one I got off ebay got broken in shipping-so I've got two broken displays but two very cool watches.

wrong would be the 130 or so toppers sitting in a bin at my feet, lol! but if buying toppers is wrong, I don't wanna be right!

It's not wrong! I collect Disney Watches, although mine are all specific to the theme parks and more specifically more than half of them are commemorative in nature. My favorite, and most rare piece is a Walt Disney World tencennial watch made by Bulova. I also have watches from Disney World's 15th, 20th 25th and 30th anniversaries as well as a number of anniversary watches from Disneyland. It is fun. Nice to know there are others out there who enjoy this type of collecting.

Oh Jason :)

buckylaure, now that would be a cool watch.

Poohnatic, wow that's a lot of toppers. ;)

Back in the day when the Disney Store was at his peak, I was a part of the mgmt. team in our local one and you wouldn't believe the amount of people that signed up for the limited edition watch collections-they'd come in at the store's opening the day each watch was released to pick their $90 watch up! I have about 11 Disney watches, but the collectors that came in had well over 50+++!
