Hi from germany,
i will visit Orlando during the first 2 weeks of october.
I am a big theme park fan so i'll visit again all WDW Parks and USF and IOA. i am now thinking about going to SW. IT's the only Orlando park i havn't seen yet.
I don't like animal shows and seeing animals behind fences or in small bassins, so in case i go to SW i will go just to see Kraken and Journey through Atlantis. Also my friend is interested in seeing a shark tunnel. Now my question: i am staying at a WDW Resort Hotel. Is it worth to to the taxi ride and the entrance fee just for those two rides when i have done all the rides in the other parks? How much is a taxi from WDW to Sea World?
Thanks
Michael

there is more than animal shows, like a small cirque de solie (sp?) thing, but also, it's not animals in small containers. You can feed the rays and dolphines, take the polar tour and you can pet a penguin. You also have multiple variety of whales, which says it is in no way small. However, if animals aren't your thing, you will be disappointed. The rides are great, but for 2 rides, it's not worth it. Your paying for the animals, not the rides.

Yes, it's worth it.
Kraken is amazing.
JTA is fun.
Plus you get to pet a dolphin, stingray, free beer samples, great pizza at the waterfront area, and go up high in the sky tower.

I imagine the cab ride or limo from Disney to SWF would cost $60 round trip. We've had threads about transportation between Disney and USF, and it always averages out to about $30 each way for 3 people. You've got two people, so it may be a little less, but not much.
There is an alternative, take the bus.

The link you want is the #50. Goes form the TTC of Disney to SWF and will only cost you $1.25 each way.

If you're going to visit SWF and IOA, it may be better to rent a car.

If you're only going for those 2 rides, I wanted to warn you that Journey to Atlantis was experiencing a lot of problems when we were there last week. We went and rode Kraken first thing (no line!) but Journey to Atlantis was not open in the morning. We went back later in the afternoon and waited 30 minutes in line, only to have it close again.

Since you stated you don't like animal shows , I'd say you would be bored with Sea World. For us it is a new adventure every time we go. We can spend an hour or 2 just watching the polar bears, whales and walrus interacting in Wild Arctic. We've gone 4 times in the last 2 months and can't wait to go back( we were just there Sunday) We still haven't been to all the shows or ridden the tower thing. I am always too tired to stay to go to shamu rocks or the fireworks because we always get there for park opening. LOL
There are only the 2 rides, but the shows are good. Clyde and "Seamore" show is funny. The whales and dolphins in the other shows are such gorgeopus creatures that we would never be able to see in our normal lives, that I think the shows are worth going. Have you ever seen a manatee? Know what one is? Sea world can teach you so much. We love the place, but in your case I would say head to Busch Gardens in Tampa for a day to ride the rides there. They have some really good roller coasters. There is a bus that BG offers to tourists to get them from Orlando to Tampa and it only costs $4 if you have your BG tickets.
