Is it worth the split?

My family of 4, 2 little ones are planning a trip to WDW for the first time in January. We are planning 5 park days, 2 in MK. We currently are booked for 7 nights at WL. Our last two nights of our trip will be at the resort (off day) and MK. Is it worth the extra $$ to be at the poly? I'm not sure that my little ones will be up for a late night outing for wishes (is it 9 in January?) we very well may be eating at kona or Cali grill..,. Thoughts? If its not worth the extra $$ what time would I need dinner reservations to watch wishes/electric pageant? Thank you!

We LOVE split stays but I am not sure I would pack up and move for only two nights, especially with little ones. It could be a lot of work with little ones who aren't old enough to pack up their own stuff, etc. A lot of the work falls on Mama and it's Mama's vacation, too. :)

I'm sorry I can't help you with times, etc. but I'm sure others will weigh in.

IMO, no, not for a 7 day stay. Love WL in January. And they have 2 hot tubs, plus the one in the Villas. It's very easy to get to MK resort ADRs from WL. They have a resort boat to CR, where you can hop on the monorail, or a boat to MK where you can get resort monorail or the boat to GF or Poly from MK.
Poly doesn't have hot tubs. Which I missed when we stayed there in January.

Nope, hate splits and see no use in them... As for the Poly, over priced, over rated and over hyped... I can get just as much comfort, transportation and ease of travel at the WL, at a lesser rate....

To me I think it would be a lot of work to pack everything up, move it, and then only be there for 2 days. I like to unpack and feel settled!
