I already purchased and received pp+ ahead of our trip however notice it has switched to memory maker. Wdw advised I can switch over to the new service but I have to return the voucher and stock disc at my own cost to orlando. Seeing as I already paid $15 shipping for pp+ I am trying to see how I would benefit from switching to memory maker. Wdw listed reasons in an email to me but the products don't actually seem that different other thank actually get a disc containing all our shots after the trip.
What would you do? Am I being silly and not seeing the benefits?
Thanks.

I don't see any benefit and would keep my PP+ - the MM seems less of a product to me as it's all digital.

With the PP+ you get the disk and (at the moment) the actual photos at the meals.

Thanks for a quick reply. So as far as you know there is nothing "extra" with memory maker?

I prefer the all digital. Just personal choice I suppose. It's just that CD's are a 'slow' form of media storage/retrieval and as soon as I get mine I move them to a pen drive and sort them into folders/rename them and add my tags so i can find stuff later. Downloads would save the hassle of the transfer time for me.

But I don't know what the drill is re. photo prints and since those don't affect us, I plead ignorance thereto and you may want to double check

See really disappointed that they have done this and taken away the fact you get actual prints! I loved having my Tusker house & chef mickey prints :( as we have one from each year the kids have been! I know I can print it off myself but I felt like I was getting something more special lol..

On the other hand, I just did my pics on the new pp site and it was much easier adding bits to the pictures. And we had more choices for the ride pics.

You can opt for digital download instead of the physical disc with pp+ apparently. You just select that option at checkout.

I think I'll stick with what I have then.

Yes you can. It just depends how many photos you have. I think if you have more than 800 (?) after editing you have to opt for the CD.

I did email them and it is a bit of a nuisance if you want to change as you have to return the CD and voucher, unopened, to them and give them 2 weeks to process a refund. You can buy MM separately at any time but they aren't presently doing a switch.

Is there a cost difference? I noticed today on My Disney Experience that I could pre-purchase the memory maker but there were no options for PP+.
