Is it worth me driving myself crazy over this?

When making my ADRs at the 180 day mark I got all that I wanted with a few exceptions - however I made them for 9:30 and in foresight I wished I made them for 9:00. I check more than once daily but wondering out loud if this is worth the aggravation and I should just leave them for 9:30.

I would not make myself crazy over 30 minutes. I'm not sure where your ADRs are, but I'm thinking that at most places if you show up 30 minutes early it shouldn't be that big of a deal. We have checked in early at several places and were seated. Of course there are places where you may have to wait-Ohanas comes to mind.

I have 2 Ohanas, 2 1900 Park Fares and 2 Chef Mickeys and 1 Crystal Palace...want to keep trying for 8:45-9:00 but honestly surprised I haven't had luck as of yet.

Keep trying, things open up, especially around the 45 day mark when people decide to cancel their vacation. I would also watch the November cancellation board. I've read that November is booked up pretty tight, so you will need to be vigilant if that's what you want. I know at Chef Mickey's we've usually shown up early for dinner and had no issue getting seated.

Yes been watching November - even signed up on Disney Scout.

Yeah, for 30 minutes I would not stress. Maybe try checking in early for your res. and hoping for the best!

IMHO having a ts breakfast every morning is sucking up,major prime park time. You can do more from opening to 10 or 11 am then you can do in 4 or 5 hours later. Personally, I would grab and go and make a late park bfast or early lunch

We're typically not breakfast people at all but daughter needs it because once were in parks she won't slow down to eat and will just pick at her food which is why except for one ressie were not in park until she eats :)

She also likes her furry characters what can I say lol

If your goal is to meet the characters and that priority is valued over morning park time, then 30 minutes will not ake a difference. I agree with Pumbaa that you are going to get a very late start though. By the time your breakfast is over, it will be close to 11 AM, and with the exception of CP, you still need to to get to the parks. I cannot tell you the strategy is bad, but I can tell you that this is a plan that would backfire in my family.

Given that you have two of the more popular ones twice each (not sure how popular 1900 is), I definitely wouldn't stress it. You have things others who only do one, maybe two character breakfasts would love to have regardless of the time of the reservation.

That's why I'm trying to get earlier times so even if we get yo the park an hour esrluer we'll be good for what we do - were going for 10 days so will be at the parks multiple days :)

You know your family's touring style best - if you think that 30 minutes makes a difference, check it when you have time. Something will open up.

I may be on the irrational side of things though. I've spent a fair amount of summer break with the ADR site pulled up, checking for BOG xx times a day. Cannot.let.it.go.

You're not going until November - that's plenty of time for cancellations to appear. I wouldn't sweat it just yet. I'd book for 8:30 if you can get that early of a time. You're signed up for Scout, so sit back and relax (just make sure your settings are set to text you AND email you frequently!)

I don't think a sit-down breakfast will mess you up at all.... just make sure you book your 3 fast passes for late morning/early afternoon and you'll be all set!

thank you all - just getting frustrated as i should've made them earlier on my 180 day mark and totally dropped the ball.

Earlier ones will open up. Also those are all breakfasts that typically have waits. We had slow moving characters at Ohana and Park Fare as well.

Have you thought about actually pushing them later instead of earlier? We sometimes will grab something quick in the room just to tie us over for a while. Go to the park for opening, stay for 1.5-2 hours, then go have a late breakfast and make it more of a lunch, whatever the latest breakfast seating is--somewhere around 10:30 or 11:00. After have an hour or two of really super short lines and getting on a lot of rides, we get to take a break and relax before heading back in for the afternoon. Just a thought! I can't imagine having a 9:00 or 9:30 breakfast and not getting to the park until after that. You'll be arriving just about the time it starts to get really crowded.
