Is it worth hopping?

My plans right now (18 days out!!) are:

Monday - DHS morning @ rope drop, get on the boat and head to Epcot at noon (1:35 adr @ Akershus and stay until Illuminations).

Tuesday - Epcot morning @ EMH rope drop, get on bus and head to DHS at noon (1:35 adr @ MM and stay until Fantasmic!)

My plan was that on Monday we would hit TSMM at rope drop, then take in one of the shows, and the animation stuff before moving over to Epcot. That way I would get to go on TSMM twice this trip for sure as I have a fp+ for Tuesday afternoon. On Tuesday, my plan was to hit Epcot at early RD to get on Test Track (no fp+) and then Soarin' (hopefully lines won't be too ridiculous at 8am opening) so that I could hit Soarin' twice this trip (fp+ for that on Monday afternoon)

That sounds really confusing... On my touring plans it doesn't look it. lol

I'm just second guessing the park hopping... but with shorter park hours, and limited fp+, I figured this was the best way to hit 2 of my favorite rides at these parks, twice.... and the parks aren't too terribly far apart.

Would you do it this way? Or should I just say forget it and stay in Epcot one FULL day and then DHS the other FULL day. lol

It sounds fine to me, but Epcot is the park I like to break up more than others. I tend to hit FW in the AM and do a couple of the countries. Then on another day go in the early or late PM and hit one or two attractions in FW and then focus on taking my time through WS.

It seems more fun to hop! I have never gone without getting hoppers because for us there isn't enough to do at AKL/HS/Epcot to last a whole day. :rolleyes1

We do a morning at one park and evening at another. It is rare for a day not to be in MK at least once. We also always take an afternoon break at the resort or go exploring other resorts.

I do know many people that don't hop. However your plan looks good so why not just stick with it?

Anyways, Have a great trip:goodvibes

Hopping stresses me out, and I feel like it is a time waster. It sounds like you could still do all the same plans, just do one full day at DHS (ride TSM in the morning at rope drop AND use your FP later in the afternoon) and then one full day at Epcot (ride TT and Soarin' at rope drop-- I would reverse your order-- do Soarin' first and then TT-- and then use your Soarin' FP later in the afternoon). You do not have to hop to accomplish your goals. If you want to hop b/c you get bored being in one park all day, then by all means, hop, but I find that hopping wastes a lot of time, and you are able to get more attractions in by staying at one park.

To each his/her own, but we find hopping saves us time. Take the scenario where you go to morning EMH at MK. By about noon, the park can get pretty busy since EMH brings in more guests than on a non-EMH day. Staying in MK means long lines for attractions as the day goes on. When that happens, we like to head to another less crowded park, and we typically get in more attractions there than if we stayed at MK.

We have never not had park hoppers. I like to hit one park in the morning until after lunch then go back to another one after dinner.
