to MK on our arrival day. It's a Saturday in July and we won't arrive at the park until about 4:00. Will we be able to get any fast passes or will they all be gone by then? It's a late evening night too, which may make it more crowded.

It is worth going if you don't have really high expectations. I would think there would be fast passes available just pick what you really want to ride and grab a fast pass for it first thing. Then you could do some attractions that normally don't have too long of wait times like Mickey's Philharmagic and Monster's Inc. I have also found that Haunted Mansion and POC are both fairly fast moving lines. Also if you are not interested in watching Spectro Magic or Wishes that normally a good time to get on some rides. We always like to start our vacation off with Magic Kingdom no matter what. This year we are driving down on Friday night so will not get there until late we are going to sleep in Saturday morning we have breakfast at Ohana's at 10:30 and then we will head to Magic Kingdom that afternoon we will not expect to get alot done and just enjoy being there.

Is it the 4th of July weekend Saturday?

If it's not - Saturday's are usually not that bad in the summer. I was there last year on July 14th 9 (my birthday) and July 14, 21 and 28th and it was fine. Granted we went at opening and stayed till closing on everyday except my birthday. The 14th was our first full day of our vacation. We arrived at the hotel on Friday July 13th.

I'm not saying no one was there and it wasn't busy - but for a summer it was managable getting there in the morning. If we were arriving in the afternoon, I would plan on getting FP's if there are any left for the night time hours. Ride things without lines in the afternoon like Mickey's Philharmagic, COP, Hall of Presidents, Etc. Walk around and look at the lines and pick and choose the things that aren't bad. Then hopefully you can ride something later in the evening with a FP. No matter what park you go to you will have a problem.

I'd also pay attention to what park has EMH hours. If MK has EMH hours either morning or late then I would avoid. If they are the day before or day after you are good.

Ok -just read it was a late night - that will make it more crowded.

I would also check the price difference if you have to add a day.. however, after 5 days, the charge is minimal.. we are paying $13 extra for 2 days for 2 adults and 1 child.. So, we paid for the 2 extra days even if we go into the park for a brief period, it is worth it.
