Is it worth getting AAA membership for discount on Polynesian room?

my sister is staying at Polynesian from Apr 28 - May 6.

Can anyone give me an idea of how much of a discount she would get if she gets a AAA membership for their discounts?

AAA membership is something like $45 a year and we saved about $80 per night off a Lagoon View Concierge room at the Polynesian. We ended up changing to an AP rate but that only saved us another $15 or so per night. The AP was only worht getting since we were going for 2 weeks otherwise the cost of the AP was not worth the discount. Every other time we have used the AAA card when booking the room. Just remember that rooms using the AAA rate do run out.

I think I'm going to suggest that she get a AAA membership -- certainly she can take advantage of some of their other benefits too!

For April 28th - May 6th, the Polynesian prices are as follows for a garden room:

AAA Rate: $332.10
Disney Rate: $ 369.00

(These prices do not include tax.)

Depending on which part of the Country you live in, I think the AAA membership fee varies. I live in Connecticut and the membership fee here is $70.00 for the year.

Ditto Tikiman. If she's only getting AAA for the room discount, she'll need to check on room availability (no guarantees).

We were only able to get the AAA rate for a portion of our Spring '05 Poly GVC vacation (still nice to save about $75/night for a few nights), but, as luck would have it, we were able to get the general public room-only code applied to the entire reservation when it came out.

The general public code was at a slightly better rate than AAA's and we didn't have to get AAA (many people love AAA, but for us, we were only getting for the room discount). Gotta' love those sorts of codes, and continue to keep fingers crossed that they'll come back.
