Is it worth doing a split stay?

I was thinking perhaps we could pack for Resort#1 with one suitcase and the put our clothes for Resort#2 in the second suitcase, since we typically take 2 suitcases. At least I would only be packing one suitcase during the trip.
This is what I did for our last trip and it made a huge difference.

Even if they don’t officially merge your rooms into one, the front desk will treat them as such when you check in to keep you in the same room and it will no longer be considered eligible for an additional water park day.

It’s what currently happens with the cleaning schedule. When I book a stay using two of my memberships, and stay in the same room, they treat it as one and I only get trash and towel day 4
I was told (so not first hand experience) by an owner that they once had two reservations (added days) for the same unit type and the resort couldn't keep them in the same room the whole time so they had to switch rooms between reservations.

I didn't think to ask if they really checked out (closed out the reservation and paid any open balance) and checked back in or if it was folio/room charges were all aggregated for the entire duration of the stay.

i am not saying its an impossible situation but because we have three membership, we are almost always having nights booked in two different memberships for the same room type and have never once been asked to move.

The question though was more if the person is kept in the same room could they get an extra benefit and it’s no…it’s treated as one. You do not need to do anything to check out and back in

Now if they were asked to move rooms, then that would be different situation and more than what happens when they don’t.
